This show hit deep. My mother chose to work when my parents were together, when she didn't have to. I was raised by daycare and my aunt who babysat me with 4 other foster children and her own children, and T.V.. My mom loved shopping and was always in debt. When my parents split i was 6 and I got fat living with her. I played the violin and she let me quit when my father didn't want me to I ate a lot of junk food. I didn't learn any femininity training until i lived with my dad at 13 and I attended MGT and GCC class in the Nation of Islam. My mother was in shape and attractive until she reached her 40ies and had 3 husbands, but she has that argumentative nature, had to have the last word, and never felt or admitted she was wrong. She's been single for years now, is fat, and all she cares about is shopping and going to casinos. She always use to regret not finishing college because she had a full ride scholarship, and stressed college to me. But my father stressed being a woman God would be proud of. Living with my dad I attended martial arts, the mosque, volunteered at a daycare, had a job at a muslim restaurant and really learned how to cook. And in my feminine classes I learned 7 units-cooking, rearing children, care of a husband, sewing cleaning, and how to act properly inside and outside the home (etiquette). I also lost weight and became a lover of fitness and excellent health. I couldn't leave the house looking "fast" with my dad. He spoke straight words like strong men do and I fully respected his authority to this very moment. The way my father raised me allowed me to maintain a very wonderful marriage for 11 years now. My father always told me he loved me and was proud of me. And though I love my mother, I've never liked her. She's become sweeter with my children, which is a blessing. But she is depressed and lonely and doesn't have anything to show for her life. I'm a stay at home mom and she doesn't respect that, but I can feel the dissention and envy when my husband buys me anything, when I don't eat the unhealthy food she brings or trys to feed it to my children and I don't let them eat it, when we get complimented in public for having a beautiful family and other incidents. She should be happy for me, but she isn't, or she never expresses it to me. The depression is real and her own selfish behavior brought her to that.

Because you’re capable of doing and being so much more. Had this conversation been had in the 50’s where the expectations of women were to bake and birth, I’d understand, but you can have your own identity outside of being a housewife while still being a feminine woman who respects her man. Women of our generation are capable of being great wives and mothers while contributing to society as well. What do women like you do in the event your marriage fails? When the children are of school age and can do the chores you do? I’m not being condescending. I’m genuinely curious. If he cheats, or if you simply fall out of love, do you stay because you’re dependent on him? What do you do in the event your husband gets sickly and is unable to provide for a period of time? Cause you know, life happens. What do you do?

@@kiyafCKNdopee that’s the issue a lot of women are preparing for the downfall (cheating and divorce). marriage is work there is no such thing as falling out of love it’s because you stopped working. No one says a woman can’t work the issue is that women want to work full time jobs and be the head of a Fortune 500 companies and at the same time want to have children. Yes life happens and maybe you may have to pay the bills because he’s sick but that’s you fulfilling your role as a wife but if he is healthy you would expect him to work. You cannot be a woman and at the same time try to play the role as a man and expect a man to want you. What is a greater contribution to society than strong children? You can be a house wife and work part time but women want everything and it’s impossible something is going to have to give
@-glitch-8195

@@kiyafCKNdopee Well, the issue with working and also being a housewife is simply, energy. You can't do it all. It's gonna weigh you down mentally and emotionally...and I've seen so many women go through that just because they're looking for their own "identity". If that's how you feel then might as well not get married because in a marriage everyone has fixed positions. Sure you can help out but, sometimes, believe it or not, a man wants to solve his own issues without you coming in and acting like you can do his job too. This whole "get ahead of him before he cheats on you" mentality is the very thing that has ruined marriages to began with. And if the kids are of school age, focus on getting hobbies and tea time girl lol. Y'll need to broaden your worldwide honestly. A man or a woman can still cheat even if they're both working so your point on that is useless. This is why you're supposed to pick the right person regardless and you should know what you want out of a man. Doing the very most is the downfall of most women...not a man cheating because so many housewives be cheating too...lets not overlook that.

This so true, especially about the mother daughter relationship. My now ex has a Gen X mom, and I always told her, it seems like her mom is competing with her. They had very bad relationship, but she loved her mom to death, just hated her. Couldn't even bring it up without provoking tears. The only thing they agreed on, was shitting on me. I brought them together lol. Her grandparents came into some money, and they were buying new furniture for my ex. Her mom, literally told her parents, "Let Her Pay For Something"! Her mom also felt insulted when her parents were thinking about who they'd give their home to. I Over time, I realized my ex wanted to be like her mom too, and it almost felt she was competing with me too. She wanted a 6'3 240lb Linebacker Beta male. I was 280lbs by the end of my relationship, 7 months later, I'm I'm 230lbs and preparing to get my pro-card in bodybuilding. See the signs, and run away.

@@biancadurr7153 the answer to ur question resides in ur question. Reverse (flip) ur question. It is like asking you your opinion and how is your way of thinking personally? And asking u in general how do u think most women way of thinking is? Can u answer the question in one sentence. Men and women are different and complex. U can only learn the complexity of man and woman in process, ranging from their nature (very important, which u may hardly change and also see it as constant), religious belief, culture, socio-political and economic situation they went through. In other words what am saying is that u learn what a man and woman is from your experiences with them from childhood to adulthood. One can't be 34 years or reach adulthood and be asking who is a man or a woman. It will look like they are imposing someone on u. No matter what I tell u, u will turn it to a debate. A man knows an average woman is selfish, u may argue it, but we know it is a fact from our childhood. Do u know when the sentence ''ladies first'' have been indoctrinated in our heads, since our childhood. Even when we protest it, we were corrected to fall back in line. ''Don't u know she is a girl'' Men were never preached to u. All we hear is women this women that. I grew up watching Cinderella, Disney, we were all saving the girls. Which movie thought u about a man. Then Feminism came. That is why so many women struggle in marriages now. Marriage exposes women. Why? because it is a place of responsibility, commitment and a place where u have to be selfless every day for the rest of ones life. That scares women since they are not use to it. They still want it all without the above. A place where men are like strangers.

Problem is if the home is in my name and I'm working full time, submit to what exactly? That is for men that are sole providers. Also, the Bible also says husbands submit to your wives but how conveniently people love to omit that part.
@asdfghjk61291
3 жыл бұрын
@@rosieparez the book in the bible that talked about submit was Ephesians 5:21-33 and when christ talked about husbands submit to their wives it felt with protection and having a responsibility over his wife. Men know to submit to the role of a husband. On the other hand in the same verse submission for the woman ment to respecting her husband's authority over her. I dont subscribe to the new testament bible but if you do we must look at things in context. Husbands submit to their wives the second they protect provide and give provisions. Which most men know that comes standard, unless a women chooses a man that is not producing. But then again the choice was on her. So she must still submit to her husband even if he is unemployed, he must have authority over her ... his wife according to bible scripture (if you believe in that...the bible).

@@asdfghjk61291 it is for this reason I believe in God but do not subcribe to man made doctrine. The Bible is a great life tool but God has also given me a spirit of discernment and it is quite clear when something is written simply for ones own benefit to have power and control over another. The Bible that I have says king james version. Emphasis on version. It was clearly written with his interpretation and additions as to what would benefit him. I am extremely interested in getting my hands on the original Hebrew text and having that translated. I respect my husband as I would like to be respected. Adultry is a form of sexual immorality (1 Cor 6:9-10) and was punishable by death in the old testament (leviticus 20:10-14), husbands and wives are supposed to find sexual fulfilment in each other by not witholding themselves from one another (1 Cor 7:1-6).
