After hearing the Bone flow Biggie had basically went home, did his homework, and came back with this sped up style that he hadn’t done before. Bone Thugs are legends. They got 30 years worth of music. All five members are talented but Krayzie and Bizzy are something else.

The funny part about that to me, is the fact that Biggie already had a verse ready before Bone got in the booth. He heard them and was like, "Nope, not doing this verse."

Biggie murdered his verse, but to be fair he took his verse home, studied, and laid it. All 3 Bone members did theirs the night of the studio session in one take. And that has been confirmed by ppl from both camps who were in the studio that night. Read a few accounts where Layzie was passed out drunk and they thought he was gone fuck the session up. But they woke him up and he laid his verse in one take.

Vanilla Ice is only a one-hit wonder, no one “liked” Vanilla Ice back then. Because we didn’t have the internet, and satellite radio and a bunch of tv channels, you had to be a BANGER back then to get any attention.
@NATTURALIE

We liked Vanilla Ice, but he’s not in these categories of the greats 😊 90’s rap is just better and no we didn’t have many songs or rappers that were garbage. 90’s music across genres was just better ❤

So vanilla ice came and we quickly. He was considered rap but I don't think many people considered him a rapper. In the 90s there was way less rap music and rappers then today because it cost a lot money to put music out back then. Today rappers can start basically with no money and can get off of it. So 90% of rap you heard back then was at least good. There wasn't that much garbage rap out.

Don't use Vanilla Ice as your example of gangsta rap. You had to be real to be in rap, because the producers and record company's were ran by hard ass G's in that era. It was about representing the hood through music, selling the most records, and money wasn't the mask motivator.
