Gravel riding continues to capture the imagination of cyclists everywhere. And new gravel bikes are arriving in Australian shops once again (after a couple of years when availability had been impacted by the pandemic).
Trek recently offered RIDE Media the chance to "review a bike" - something that I've been doing for over 25 years, but also something that has been difficult while supply chain issues impact the market.
I jumped at the chance and eventually a box arrived.
This is part one of a Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 review. There is a plan for my riding adventures... so stay tuned. (I'll be riding soon... but, alas, there's also quite a bit of work to do in the office, so please be patient.)
Big thanks to ‘Beej’ and the guys at Park Bikes for lending a hand with the unboxing.
- Rob
Please note: not a paid promotion.
