www.iBikeSafe.org - We celebrated National Bike Month in a city made for micromobility! Sunny Isles Beach is a bustling, dense city built around apartment buildings, and like many cities where vertical living is the norm, the students love using bicycles and scooters to get around. Naturally, Bike to School Day fits right in!
We were really fortunate to get great support from the city and protection from the Sunny Isles Beach police, and the school made every effort to ensure the excellent turnout! We also had the presence of South Florida Commuter Services and Bike305 to lend a hand for bike advocacy - and to share the all-important need to add protected bike lanes to our cities.
And we cannot forget Mack Cycle for - once again - providing the invaluable support of servicing the kids’ bicycles before the event. Brakes were working and cables were shifting because of Mack!
