Bike ride from the northern Black Forest near Dornstetten over the Neckar valley on the 1002 meter high Plettenberg on the Swabian Alb near Balingen.
The starting point for my ambitious bike tour is the Pfahlberg in Dornstetten on a sunny spring day. From there I drive on the altitude over Schopfloch and Dürrenmettstetten down to the Neckar Valley, where I drive on the Neckartalradweg to Oberndorf am Neckar. There I leave the Neckar valley in the direction of the Zollernalb and over gentle gradients I drive towards Trichtingen, Böhringen and rooms under the castle to Schömberg near Balingen. Shortly before I reach this Otrschaft, I make my snack under a shady tree in the midday heat. Fortified then I drive the last few miles to Dotternhausen, here expect me at almost 30 ° C violent slopes up to the summit of over 1000 meters high Plettenberg.
At the top of the summit, I enjoy the view in the direction of the Black Forest, where clouds of pollen are blown away impressively by the wind. Then I am on the way back, which leads over Dormettingen, Rosenfeld and Monastery Kirchberg again ind Neckar valley. There I take my last climb again in attack, which calls for more than 130km kilometers driven again legs.
At the end of the ambitious bike tour, which I drove for the second time, I have 2200 vertical meters and 140km in my legs and let tired, happy and satisfied once again cool his legs on a bench on the pile mountain in Dornstetten.
