Finally the covid restrictions were lifted enough so that I could travel to Sweden again and join my husband there. Whilst I was there, I did a six-day ride, through the forests and lakes and summer cornfields and hayfields of southern Sweden, wild camping all the way. This is where my husband grew up and where his family is from. My idea was to ride to some of the places where his ancestors had lived and worked - a ruined homestead in the hills, at a tiny abandoned croft, and finally the city of Norrköping, which was a brilliant place. I loved it.
Sweden has very relaxed "freedom to roam" rules, but sometimes looking for a spot wasn't super easy - I am not good with sheep, or cows....
Hope you enjoy the film!
