Degi Mutton Korma Recipe | Authentic Mughlai Mutton Curry
Today, I’m sharing a delicious and aromatic recipe for Degi Mutton Korma, a rich and flavorful Mughlai dish. Perfect for family dinners, festive occasions, or whenever you’re craving some soul-satisfying comfort food! Follow this easy step-by-step recipe for the most amazing Degi Mutton Korma right at home.
Ingredients:
1 kg mutton (bone-in pieces)
2 large onions (thinly sliced)
1 cup yogurt
3 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
½ cup oil/ghee (clarified butter)
2-3 bay leaves
4-5 cloves
2-3 green cardamoms
1 black cardamom
1-inch cinnamon stick
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chili powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:
1. Heat oil/ghee in a large pot and fry the onions until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pot, add whole spices (bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin) and sauté for a minute.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
4. Add mutton pieces, salt, and cook until the meat changes color.
5. Add yogurt, fried onions, and powdered spices (coriander, chili, turmeric). Cook until the oil separates.
6. Add water, cover the pot, and let it simmer on low heat until the mutton is tender.
7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
Serve hot with naan, rice, or roti!
