I’ve seen so many internet tacticool wannabe operators call the good old Bill drill the “Fudd drill”. But yet fail to show they can do it at this level. It’s still a great drill that shows where your skill level is at.

@@Tier1Concealed skill retention is a precious commodity for sure. I try to get out weekly as well. Many don't realize that shooting is a perishable skill. I appreciate the content and drill ideas!

What gun is being used. Im a newer shooter and have a 43x and seeing this kind of performance just blows my mind. I couldn’t pull off groups like that if I took benched shots every 10 seconds

Seems like from watching their videos they tend to lean Glock or Glock-est firearms. Maybe M&P stuff. I do know I’ve heard some of them make comments about being a man and to just carry a full-size in some videos 🤣 something that’s help me a lot (shooting for a couple months now, still very new) I’ve budgeted each paycheck, every two weeks, to spend 60 or so $ on ammo/range and then just focusing on groupings at 7,10,15 yards and recoil management, expensive but worth it. Then at home practicing the draw, presenting, and finding a SMALL item or “mark” across the room and squeezing the trigger while keeping the dot still as possible on my “mark”. Start close and focus more so on grip and trigger press then slowly work in accuracy and speeding up. No where near these guys but it’s motivating to see consistent high levels of shooting

@@adamleighton8052 yeah I dry fire practice like a madman. And hit the range fairly regularly. Just feel like I’ve stagnated a little performance-wise. Trying to figure out if it has a little to do with the firearm or what. I know these micro 9s are a little snappier and harder to manage recoil. Kind of wishing I picked up a G19 instead of a 43x

@@jerryg855 I picked up and g19 and g45. I RARELY carry the 43x now. Same length as the 43x WITH the tlr7 and .3 thicker. It’s negligible. Only benefit to the 43x is weight and carrying with ball shorts/sweats

@@jerryg855 It's not the gun that matters. It's what you do when shooting the gun that matters fancy sights grips and all that other gidgets gadgets does not make you a smoother operator of a handgun. It's practice and performance. Get out there and get some dry range time in with movement and you'll see just where your wheels fall off.

The Point 1 Tactics elite performance standards has a retreating bill drill stage that starts at 3 yards. Draw and shoot while retreating. But you can run billies at whatever distance you want!
