The DVD "The Legends of Rock & Roll"states this clip is from the Ted Steel show WOR-TV, New York (1955). Apparently, it is from Washington Square, a show hosted by Ray Bolger (1956).

The most rebellious decades in American history for teenagers and youth overall. Now, not so much. We're not rebellious, we think we're better than every generation. I guess all that rebellion went to our heads. You can thank the 50s and 80s teens for the behavior of today's youth.

Until now Rock Around the Clock is still the best selling R&R record in the history. The King of R&R is Elvis Presley (black or white). The DJs of the both sides of Atlantic call him The King. There are singers cover Rock Around the Clock, Roll Over Beethoven(The Beatles had covered it). Have you ever heard anybody cover Elvis R&R songs e.g. Jail House Rock. The answer is no one, because no one has the ability or skill) to sing the song as good as Elvis.

Hey! Elvis worshipers! You bark up the wrong tree. People say that Elvis is the king of Rock N Roll and the greatest singer. I accept that he is great and I like Elvis. But what if Elvis had been all covered by black skin at that time when your country was shadowed and dominated by the horrible racism ! As you know, Elvis grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where so many poor black people habitated so he was naturally influenced by black people's voice. There was no Elvis without black musicians before him. White Americans! Listen up! your fucking mainstream ancestors underpriced and scoffed at such great black musicians as Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Ray Charles, etc.. Instead, your fucking ancestors put Elvis on the peak they, especially Chuck Berry, were entitled to stand on. He is no less legendary than Elvis. No, more than Elvis You'd better put the blame on your fucking ancestors. Your comments lead me to spell that out to you, idiotic avid Elvis’ fans. Put that shit crap into the comment sections for Elvis.
