What great chap! Thanks Bill for revealing the damped bass and flailing middle finger technique around 8.06; much more subtle than scraping the pick over the treble strings. I’m sure he sounds good through any amp! 🎶

That's it, I'm smashing my Les Paul and getting me a Telecaster.
@beeps123

No.. No need to smash anything. Telecaster gives you that feeling but actually u will be better off with what you have. They're not that easy to play as they look. The vintage ones or custom shop Relic etc feel really basic and definitely not worth the money. But in reality they're awesome but only if you can play them the way you see here like these guys. Start practicing dude.

***** I never cared for Teles until someone brought me a 1962 Dak Red one in for a set up. I had been playing a Les Paul for a while then, but the neck on that 1962 was almost like grabbing my Les Paul. It was listed as a "C" neck, but it was skinny for a C. I have been using a Japanese off brand with coil splitters & humbuckers that gives me a good twang & honk now.

***** I own both my tele is a thin line, while I love my lester for what it's made for my tele plays as well and is a ton lighter and the sound of these two are world apart. I suggest owning both, I have several species of guitars and get in the mood for all of them from time to time but if I show up for a chicken pickin session with a flying v I get funny looks! I will say as the owner of two custom les Paul's they are versatile and fun until you play standing for an hour!

100 year old wood has aged, dried, and settled... Meaning top quality STABLE wood that does not require you put a truss rod from the neck to the body... aka it's wood and player talented enough to bring out it's glorious tones... Bill's one of the best ever though so...

@@scottphillips7108 even new pine sounds great. It is the twangiest wood there is. Just don’t drop it! Pine was use as the original Fender prototypes.
