Just to clarify - This is a video of the singer and songwriter Bill Morrissey singing a song he wrote called 'Robert Johnson.' It's on a fantastic album called 'Inside.' Bill is no longer with us... I'll miss his songs. He was a great, great songwriter.

I was watching this special when it first aired. I was maybe 10. I was obsessed with old blues and this was one of the best performances in the whole special

Never been so star-struck as when I got to meet Bill after a show at the Starfish Room in Vancouver BC back in the '90s. I am not a folky at heart, and have always been more of a rock and roll fan, but Bill's songs transcended any genres. I count him as one of the greatest song writers of this century, and it really busts me up to know he died. RIP Bill and thank you so much for the great work you left behind.

Thank you so much for this! There isn't enough Bill Morrissey videos on youtube! "Inside" is a great album, my favorite Morrissey album is "North". Do you have more videos of Bill?

@actlloyd I just pointed out that Eric has done a great cover of it. Both versions are good, and Bill will forever be the man who actually wrote it (important). Anyone who's interested in good music cares.

@actlloyd And you're by this implying that Eric Burdon doesn't sing with his heart and balls? He must be one of the ballsiest singers ever!

Eric Burdon has done a fantastic cover of this tune. No dis to Bill's vocals, but Eric's voice is awesome compared to it.

We can have different opinions on the value of a recording but how can the color of someone's skin have anything to do with that? Was Robert Johnson a working class tortured soul?
