To answer your question about whether or not "Ghost Story" is still a thing or not: From what I've seen, she and her team have decided to let it have its top 5 peak on the Country Airplay chart, and are getting ready for single #2 in time for the CMAs next month--all signs point to "Hate My Heart". So: no. (Also: I'd be curious to hear what you thought about Denim & Rhinestones. For an artist that has often been acknowledged as having a lot of filler on her albums, D&R EASILY has the least amount of any of her albums ever, IMO.)

Ladies and gentlemen, it happened! (Party Rock Anthem starts playing.) STAY is finally dead! That song lasted way longer than it should've. It should've left the charts months ago. Don't even get me started at that point in time when it was number two during March of 2022. At one point, I thought it would never leave. And now, it's finally gone. It's beautiful. I recently saw a comment that said it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did if Justin Bieber wasn't on it, and it's so true. Speaking of Justin Bieber, another song that lasted way longer than it should've also left the charts. Because Ghost is finally gone. I won't miss it. Now there's one bastard that should've been gone months ago left. Get your torches, pitchforks, and cotten candy ready. Seriously, there's a reason why when Numb Little Bug, a song that lasted over half a year on the charts and is gonna be somewhere in the thirty on the Year-End, left the charts, I was perfectly ok with it, and thought people going, "Why did Numb Little Bug have to leave? It should've stayed," had some "Now I'm gonna starve" energy. Believe or not, I've recently seen some people saying that they're upset STAY is gone and it should've lasted longer. Yes, I'm being serious.

Yeah I'm on board with the whole Unholy success as of right now... But on my first listen, I expected something a lot more? Cause to me at least, it's a good song and somewhat silly in a way (especially coming from Sam Smith singing that chorus) I do agree with you that there's plenty of artists that has done this territory before and I'm left somewhat "Meh, it's pretty good. Nothing to bizarre in a way" which despite that made this almost a letdown for me If this song can still maintain itself a hit later on. This will be not only be the weirdest transition (no pun intended) from years of hit song that sounded completely different from a artist we know for awhile (Sam Smith, from Dancing with a Stranger to How Do You Feel to... This?) But also the biggest debut entry on the chart from a Artist that people (like me) never heard of before Also yes I do see her and aware of her existed before this hit. I've heard her in some featured appearance but never heard her own song (Worst thing is knowing her working with Dr. Luke and some credited appearance from him in some of her songs, made this kinda bad impression for me for seeing her like this)

Worlds Smallest Violin is only charting here because of the TikTok challenge. As soon as the challenge dies and all the album bombs come out this song is gone. Also, I like the recent collab songs that Zac Brown Band are putting out with other artists that I like and respect. I wish some of those could have charted or at least on the Country chart. Also, the League of Legends music varies in quality but if the charting songs we have gotten from them are this good I want them to consistently be able to chart and get hits into the near future; especially as AI slowly starts to take over all creative jobs. Also, why did we make one of Sam Smith's worst singles his first huge hit in 4 years?

The one thing preventing me from liking 'Unholy' (because I actually kinda like the beat on its own) is Sam Smith themself. Their classy vocals absolutely DO NOT fit on this song, neither behind that bubblegum bass sound nor paired up with the lyrics; it's just awkward. Some have said that that's the point of the song; it's meant to be uncomfortable. Cool if that's the case, but that does not mean I have to like what I'm hearing. And I don't. It's cool that it's bringing a new sound to the Top 10; it'll keep things interesting, I just wish I *liked* it. At least 'Tomorrow 2' is a banger. I enjoyed that song quite a lot.

Song recommendations: Common by Quinn XCII and Big Sean. I did not expect these people to collab, but unlike Bad Decisions, it’s an odd collab that works. The production is really fun and infectious, Quinn XCII continues to be his awesome self, the lyrics are unique, and Big Sean’s guest verse is really chill and fits with the song beautifully. Between this and Backpack, I’m really excited for Quinn’s new project! Sick Of U by BoyWithUke and Oliver Tree: An awesome collab between 2 great artists. The production is incredibly cool and vibey, BoyWithUke and Oliver Tree are their awesome selves, and the lyrics are really well written. An absolute bop that’s incredibly infectious and relatable. Moneymaker by Fitz And The Tantrums: An infectious bop with fantastic production, great vocals from Michael Fitzpatrick, and fun lyrics. Can’t wait for Let Yourself Free to come out in November! Party Trick by Lil Sis Nora: An enjoyably absurd jam with great production, solid vocals, good lyrics, and a drop based on burps. No, I’m not kidding. Dale by TroyBoi: A really solid instrumental bop, with really cool production, awesome sampling, and a unique vibe. Lazy by Baby Queen: Between this and Nobody Really Cares, I’m really liking Baby Queen’s music. The production is enjoyably indie, the vocals are lovely, and the lyrics are incredibly unique. Can’t wait to hear more from this girl! Ain't Got Nothin' Figured Out by MAGIC!: A fun, reggae vibe, with nice production, chill vocals, and solid lyrics. Glad MAGIC! is still around. Referencing Justify my love also from a dud year lol, 1991 is same as this year, might not as be weird as 2022 cause I think for me it's 1993 that was the weirdest year of the 90's at least on Billboard. Both 1991 and 2022 were not good years for Billboard, also that 20/50 chart rule can't come fast enough that Enter the sandman and Walking on Memphis didn't have the chance to made the year end list despite having a strong chart run. (I know that Justify my love was released in 1990 but it peaked on 1991 so it's 1991 hit regardless)

Also, last thing I wanna say this. About Star Walkin', even tho Lil Nas X is that artist we know. He can rap and sing. I do like that consistently in this song for League of Legends I'm not the biggest fan of eSports nor the anthem to even care about the important of a anthem by musical talented artist or mainstream artist (I.E. Imagine Dragons on Warriors, Zedd on Ignite) But from what I understood from especially the League community for this song for the eSport evant. This is not at all considered the best nor is it fitting as the World Anthem from any song is what makes them a "World Anthem" I mean, I get it tho. The song doesn't fit the hype of what makes eSport or the competitive games like League a World Anthem I mean Lil Nas X fricking wrote this on his own schtick we know about, I doubt there's any Pop Rap star that can hype the song up fitting for a World Anthem Overall tho. Lil Nas X did good attempt, I like it. However I think the eSport League of Legends or Riot Games dev (or whoever) made sorta the wrong call there and that's on em for this pick right here Good song, just not at all fitting for a World Anthem in League eSport. That's all Edit: I recommend checking Tkay Maidza great attempt for "Icons Global Championship" (for the mobile version of League of Legends call "League of Legends: Wild Rift". I do play that instead of the PC) called "Never Stop Me" or Porter Robinson fantastic attempt on his song "Everything Goes On" for the Star Guardian event (which is like Sailor Moon AU) both song from this year, even from Riot Games on League music has some of the best ones you'll hear (and not just the song you've heard like Enemy)

My opinion on Unholy: The song is meh. Starting with the good stuff: i really like the chorus, Sam and Kim both give pretty good performances and i don't mind Smith's lyrics in the song. That said the drums and especially that FKN SYNTH are pretty annoying and the lyrics on Petra's verse are awful. Also the song is really short, for a song like this it could've used some more progression. As it is bad elements and good elements kinda complement each others, but i like the elements i like more than i hate the elements i hate, so it's a smidge higher. 5.5/10

DM4: Tomorrow 2- this sounds very boring HM1: Down Home- It's Ok BOTW1: Oklahoma Smoke Show- This is Really good, I'll give it a try BOTW2: Out In The Middle- This is really good song, I like this soundscape from the Zac Brown Band BOTW3: StarWalken- This song slaps and i like this music video and i'm not a league of legends fan BOTW4: UnHoly- Thankfully, Dr. Puke has no involvment on this song (Hopefully it makes Kim think to work with better producers) I get Mark's issues with it, But it slaps, I'll take it. IMPO, a pretty interesting week. BOTW: "Oklahoma Smokeshow" (so great to see this finally charting). HM (tie): "Down Home" and "World's Smallest Violin" (actually one of the few songs on the latest AJR album that I kinda like). DM: "Unholy" (yes, it's a complete disaster by the Sam Smith standards, where there's far less chemistry between him and Kim Petras than he had with Demi Lovato in "I'm Ready", and not even a listenable one with that weirdly familiar hook, but at the same time it's an interesting enough disaster that I can't bring myself to hate it or even get salty once it inevitably takes #1). WOTW: "No Se Va" (insufferably boring, really sloppy and not well-performed even for that brand of regional Mexican music, such a lackluster cover of a pretty decent Latin pop song, I used to root for the regional Mexican music to finally have the Hot 100 crossover, but ever since then it's been frustrating me as of recent with dreck like this).

My personal ranking of every song that has gotten all caps WOTW, from top to bottom (explanations in parentheses): 1. Unholy by Sam Smith and Kim Petras (The latest WOTW and in my opinion, the only one I disagree with being in this category. I like its over-the top bombastness, the hook is sticky and even if Kim Petras has questionable connections, if this song reaches number one, it would become the first number-one hit from a transgender and a non-binary artist in Billboard history. And here's the best part; Doctor Puke has no writing or production credits on this song!) 2. Robbery by Juice WRLD (This song is from a perspective of an immature young man, who knows his actions are only making it worse for everyone, especially himself, but he doesn't have any idea of how to stop it. I get that it is very hard to listen to, especially after Jarad's death and his singing can be a bit...testing, but it is an experience. RIP Juice) 3. Body Like A Backroad by Sam Hunt (Just because this song is at number 3, I don't disagree with it being all caps WOTW. This song popularized the snap beats and the use of 808s in Nashville. That is already a bad thing, even before you take into account that Sam Hunt chose to compare his current ex-wife's body to a poorly maintained patch of dirt road and bragging about how it lasted SIX WEEKS for him to get her phone number. However, this song is laugh-out-loud stupid for me before it is rage-inducing.) 4. Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) by Silentó (The first WOTW. Annoying, dated Vine hip-hop dance song, that takes its' dances from OTHER SONGS, Silentó's voice is yelpy and the definition of grating...and since Vine has shut down, this song's impact and relevance has disappeared. On its own, this song is...meh.) 5. hot girl bummer by blackbear (The hook sticks with you, but this song is toxic and not in a kind of way you'd want to relate to. Blackbear has done worse.) 6. Earth by Lil Dicky (And here starts the really bad ones: What was the carbon footprint for the music video of this song? Also, why did Lil Dicky feel the need to forgive Germany for the Holocaust? Also also, couldn't all the rich celebs that collabed on this track just donate money on their own rather than make yet another charity single?) 7. Freaky Friday by Lil Dicky feat. Chris Brown (Then again, at least Earth can defend its' own existence (albeit poorly) with noble intentions. There's nothing noble about Lil Dicky hyping up Chris Brown. And at the end of the song, Lil Dicky switches bodies with Kendall Jenner and proceeds to molest her body without her minds consent.) 8. Fancy Like by Walker Hayes (2021 has gone down in history as a bad year for country music and this song is really the reason why. Who in their right mind decided that Walker Hayes RAPPING (and being bad at it, duh) about fucking his wife on a styrofoam bed at the Applebee's parking lot would be a good idea for a song?! We owe that guy who had sex to Hudson Mohawke's Cbat for two years an apology.) 9. Drinkin' Too Much by Sam Hunt (Sam Hunt gets his Drake on and by that, I mean he's concern trolling his now ex-wife. I kinda see why they divorced.) 10. Truth About You by Mitchell Tenpenny (Since this incel country song was released, one certain celeb fan club has co-opted this song as their sick little victory anthem. Thanks a lot, Mitchell!) 11. IDGAF by boywithuke and blackbear (If Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion ever team up to kick blackbear's ass, this song and hot girl bummer justify their actions, 100 per cent. This is one of the most immature, misogynist and just utterly meanspirited (I'm talking "Family Guy Seahorse Seashell Party"-levels of toxicity) break-up songs in recent memory and the fact that it takes its' name from a far better and more mature Dua Lipa song makes my blood boil) 12. Fake Woke by Tom MacDonald (It's a Tom MacDonald song. 'Nuff said.) 13. Snowflakes by Tom MacDonald (It's a TRANSPHOBIC Tom MacDonald song. Need more explanations?) 14. Money Over Fallouts by Tory Lanez (The absolute worst one of all. It has it all. Gaslighting, jacking other rapper's flow (Meek Mill), being part of an album that only exists so that Tory Lanez can lie about him shooting Megan Thee Stallion, while also profiting from it. Fuck this song and fuck DAYSTAR, both the album and the person (yes his name is Daystar))

BoyWithUke is still awesome though. He released a new song with Oliver Tree, and it absolutely slaps. Also, I don't care what anyone says, Fancy Like is overhated as hell.

@@musicfan3610 I even went back and saw the week when Treat You Better first charted. It didn't even get a worst of the week. If anything, he was kinda lukewarm on the song. I guess he didn't see how bad the song was at the time?

@@masterdriver132 He actually did give it WORST OF THE WEEK when it debuted. It was one of the earliest episodes of Billboard Breakdown. Here's the link. kzitem.info/news/bejne/wp152W1nk3ifmJg
