The problem is Dawkins has made the last 2 pro bowls because other LTs in the afc are even more inconsistent. We just watch Dawkins every snap and see and FEEL his flaws exposed, whereas we don’t FEEL the flaws of other top LTs. The reality is there’s only like 5 players in the league that would be a serious upgrade, and you can’t be elite everywhere. Dawkins is a top 10 LT by a lot of measures and is currently getting paid outside the top 10, which is good value. Hard to replace him without using a 1/2nd round pick

@Johnson97 Yes, but I'm not comparing him to other LTs in the league. I believe they need to address his future replacement in the next draft. And Beane even addressed the issue of if they just paid someone. He made it clear that if they can draft someone better, they will.

They drafted a wide receiver...his name is Dalton Kincaid. He's basically a Jumbo Cole Beasely, or a less murdery Aaron Hernandez, if you prefer. And Hopkins is still on the table, as the reality that the Cards won't get a 1st for him has to now be sinking in with Bidwell. Safety isn't the concern I think you think it is. Yes, Hyde and Poyer are older, but safeties do age more gracefully than many positions, and Rapp didn't come here to ride pine. He and Damar are still fairly young and may be our future. Williams isn't a pick that really excited me, but I'm not disappointed either. We needed a LB, and he was arguably the best one available. I think he was brought in because there ISN'T faith in Bernard as the clear choice as starter. While my access to college tape is limited, I think Williams is just a better player overall. He can absolutely compete for a starting job. Things were getting kinda thin at the tail end of Round 3, but sometimes guys like Williams turn out to be the Matt Milanos of the world.
