7th Degree Black Belt Billy Blanks had one of the greatest karate fight records in the sport's long history. Blanks was a 7-time world karate champion, the first Amateur Athletic Union Champ in 1975, the 1984 Massachusetts Golden Gloves Boxing Champion, and the Tri-State Golden Gloves Champion of Champions. He was the captain of the United States Karate Team and won over 30 gold medals in international competition. He was the number 1 or number 2 rated full-contact karate fighter in the United States for almost seven straight years. His epic battles with "Nasty" Anderson are legends among martial arts fans. He posted over 300 career victories. In 1982, Billy Blanks was honored by being inducted into the Karate Hall of Fame.

When Billy Blanks had a dojo, in Quincy MA. He was there for belt advancement tests.. later on, after it was done, I overheard him say, "How pathetic".. we did on the tests.. yet we all advanced! Thank you, for caring more about your own future career.. by that, you taught me more of a valuable lesson..

*Real* bricks. Bravo. He's willing to do a real demonstration where he might have to recover from a fumble. Good questions from the crowd about grain of the wood, baseball bat, etc.

I put the one Bolo Yeung said in saying to see if people could guess the movie. Then someone said that I was wrong and that is not what Bruce Lee said. I advised that person to watch the movie it came from. I wish I could have seen their face when they heard Bolo say that.

too many so called experts have waist line greater than 38, sometimes 40 inches. Unacceptable. good to see guy in good shape.

Definitely priority to be in great shape for a multitude of reasons, health being number 1. However, there's plenty of REAL martial artists and actual fighters that are wider than they should be that have wisdom, experience and knowledge than most people that are "in shape." That's only a piece of the puzzle
