Jimmy Carters family is what i want as a first family because they werent rich and seemed like actually people. The president of the united states has a brother that was completely different then he was.

Well, yes... and no. Carter seems to be a decent man for the most part - especially compared to his replacements...but he sort of began the destruction of the American economy, and it's middle class. A destruction that has continued uninterrupted by every president since. Lastly, family upbringing and personal stories mean little - it's policy that people should be focusing on. You should vote for whoever will tell you their policies specifically, and factor in which candidates policies will improve your life the most. Everything else is just fluff.

I had the pleasure traveling on the road in the music business, met Billy at his “filling” station. His brother was Jimmy was playing softball, his staff vs. secret service. One of the brother’s son work as a bartender early in one of a very historic nightclub in 1977-78. Great Interview.

Hunter Biden is not as much as Billy Carter but he's a spitting image of Roger Clinton. Both Roger and Hunter have similar challenges with alcohol and narcotics.

If Billy Carter were alive today, he’d still drink Bud Light. He believed beer wasn’t about ideology or actually drinking the beer you endorse or flavor. Beer is whatever is available to give you a that slight perpetual buzz, even if it’s Pabst Blue Ribbon.

I\m not a fan of Carter family in any way. Jimmy was the worst President before Barry O. This man was a weak President and was never able to admit his failures after leaving office. He was a caring man as we all know but that doesn't make him a great leader. . Billy was a colorful guy back in the day and his behaviors are his own. However, I will stand with a fellow southerner over the elite uppity journalists of that day and our day. Too many of these people think just because we talk slow that we are all slow. Lots of folks from NY have an accent and are rude and obnoxious - Doesn't mean all are that way. I bet this reporter has a goofy family member as well.

I was in the US Army in the late 70s part of the time at Ft. Benning Ga. President Carter was very popular in this neck-of-woods. I was not active politically yet. However, being a young party animal myself at this time, I idolized Billy. I always respected President Carter. I considered him to be an honest, Christian man, even if he was a subpar president.

@@texan903 Apparently you don't live in facts just politics. Try to consider the argument or point such as fiscal policy, domestic, jobs, foreign etc before you automatically stand against someone just because you have been conditioned to think that way.

@@howardbangert4247 Thank you for your service sir. I grew up in Bama and understand his popularity at the time. I believe he tried to do right by his faith but in office he was just not effective and will always be known for a terrible economy and failure with Iran.
