Great video. I had Tommy Keefer set my 02' Springer up the same way back in 2013. We lowered it and did an old factory 150 tire kit. I had Flanders wide clubman bars which look pretty much identical. Springers look awkward from factory, but a few key mods make these look so good. Sweet machine you made there!

his Bad Boy looks pretty much stock other than the front wheel. they had front fenders tight to the wheel too so it didn't look as awkward as some springers

Wow, I love the details you show. That's where most people get stuck! I'm glad your still at it, I remember watching you on tv for the bike build offs back when I was just getting out of highschool. You inspired me to go into motorcycle mechanics and welding, never ended up in a custom shop but I did build my own parts for the stunt riding community back in the day. I'm now inspired to go build another bike project.

I never liked having turn signals mounted to the handlebars. 21" front wheel looks good on a springer front end. Nice choice for the bars. I currently have chrome Biltwell Frisco bars on my scooter, but have been lookin' at MX type bars like on that Softtail. I like the overall look.

I love these videos you make SO much. Besides having always been a fan of your work and custom bikes and of course the still super badass hubless wheel, it's so great seeing a true professional work. I like to tinker on my bikes but I don't have the training or expertise and bike shops won't let you hang out and watch even if you can keep your mouth shut. So being able to see all the tools, techniques, and things you've learned from experience is fantastic. Great job on turning that bike around, 21" is the right choice on that bike I would always change out the plastic Harley breather gear for a steel version, the plastic gear WILL wear the case. Only criticism is the chrome swing arm, they are always a mistake if people realize what a Softail is supposed to represent.

I think you made the right choice to keep the fender and the spoke wheel on this one. The blue on that bike is a bit subdued so more of it on the bike doesn't hurt at all and having the factory pin stripes on the tins from front to back just feels right to my eyes. Oh and as much as I'm aware of the mid range power and torque gains of a 2 into 1, for a classic look ive always liked 2 into 2s better. They do say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder though, so im sure some will disagree. Either way awesome video, love how you show us what you do and your tips and tricks to get good results.

Billy, well, why hammer the camshaft bearing, there is a tool for this too) We are in Russia, carefully and carefully trying to repair old Harleys, we buy a tool, we look up to you, and you give us such an example)) And before installation, I would clean shock absorbers. It would be nice to put the steering wheel specifically for the sringer with the correct knurling under the racks. And the hole for the wires in the middle of the steering wheel, I processed it better, made the edges smoother) The brake machine must be set carefully by pressing the brake lever a little so as not to damage the switch) Avon grips are really very good, but renthal or PM in chrome would look more appropriate here)
