I played bass for Bumblefoot once and got to hang out with Billy Sheehan talking about bass for a long time and he is cool as hell. Bumblefoot is a great dude too.

Billy Sheehan reminds me of Randy Coven. Both great versatile players by the way. One of the best, if not the best. Versatility makes you an even better players as evident from these players.

Kiss 1 had inspired me as well. I got that record along with an all in one stereo for Christmas in 1974 when i was 12. I still have and play that record today. Both musicians are badasses. Don't get better than that.

I always admired Paul Samuel Smith of the Yardbirds as a wonderful bassist of the 60's. Until today, no one talked about him because of his short career as a bassist. Thanks to Billy who brought up Paul Samuel Smith here.

Billy is an Irish Catholic. He can say whatever he wants but he can't change who he is and he can identify as whatever he wants. It does not make it so however. In California one has to blend in or one does not get work. In California, most people despise Christians and absolutely hate Catholics.

Jonathan Hicks they’re still around to my knowledge...they are just taking a hiatus and focusing on this project...Portnoy still plays with Sheehan... however Kotzen is not in the band

A record store employee turned me on to Talas in 1983 in Independence, MO. He knew I played bass and put on Billy's bass solo track from "Sink Your Teeth Into That". I bought the album and have been a fan ever since. Would have loved to see what Vai could done with Billy on "High Speed on Ice".

Stepanek I grew up same town as Billy he was more than an legend. To watch him play live b a ck in the 70s amazing. I was lucky enough to warm up for "Talas" a few times, Billy was such a loner he even practiced during breaks, how dedicated was that!!!!! My favorite song from Talas was "Thickhead and Sea Saw"
