He is so young there, he is like a Nashville monster on the guitar....

We saw Billy and his band this week , he has come a long way since this video , he played Black Sabbath , and it was a very trippy show. get tickets , he dose 200 shows a year. great reaction ! He didn't play this at the show but he played a song called How Mountain Girls Can Love Song by Billy Strings and Don Julin which made my night !

That does sound trippy and if he played it in a bluegrass sorta way, I think I need to hear it!!! 😁

Turmoil and Tinfoil live (Music City Roots) is one of my favorite Billy Strings performances to watch. He’s so playful and is obviously having a hell of a time. Plus both the banjo player and mandolin player absolutely shred their solos. His heavy metal influences shine through as well. Thanks for the reaction! 💜🥔 *reposted with correct info

Better than your average reaction but I'm always wondering why reactors always pick this cool but very, very, very old BMFS performance. Have you not noticed (as a DJ) in the ~10 years since then he's won a grammy, put together one of the hottest bands ever and is selling out arenas? Hot tip, review any one of the recent live recordings Billy has releases recently. You'll find the excellent professionally concert videos on his page. For what's it worth, here's the one I'd recommend: Long Forgotten Dream. kzitem.info/news/bejne/tn-Ju3p6r5eUhYo

I can live with “above average”. The short answer is that this was the song a long time subscriber recommended and it’s ALL new music to me. Couple that with the fact that Billy Strings hasn’t really been tearing up the Active Rock radio charts so I’ve never particularly bothered to learn anything about him. Now, if you want to talk Korn discography, I’m your guy! I do appreciate the recommendation. I’ve got it on my list and will be sure to check it out! 🤩

In all fairness, this is the basement video that many were introduced to Billy through. In an interview with Theo Vonn ‘I think’ Billy didn’t seem to think too much of this video, and recommended more recent versions. This video is one I come back to just about every time it shows up in my recommendations. Now if you want to watch Billy in the basement with a few other players, look up Freeborn Man and be amazed at how he attacks those strings while belting out lyrics. When I saw that video and this one I knew I was seeing someone very special. I’m going to see Billy and the boys on Oct 11th, I’m so into this band that I’m literally counting the days till we see them! 70 just in case anyone is wondering!

@@Adam-gm5tm Exactly. This is the video that I somehow stumbled on (thankfully) and was completely floored by it. Which is why I recommended it for a reaction and to anyone I think might enjoy this type of thing as a good starting point to introduce them to Billy Strings. He's amazing. 🤘💀🤘
