Welp, I can only say if you're interested, you should go for it. Don't pursue something you're not keen to study about 💪🏻💪🏻 Biomedical science actually is a very broad course and you'll get to know lots of knowledge through it.

I think you should go for it. I'm not sure about other universities, but in UM, biochemistry is only a small part of our biomedical sc course. You only take it for 1 semester.

hi ! im a highschool student n currently im a pure sc student..im thinking to take jurusan science in matriks then i wnt pursue in degree biomed sc,the question is i dont really like subj fizik 😭😅 so when i take matriks nnti i wnt to amik aliran sc comp (the subj : bio kimia math n sn comp),if i take sn comp can i still take the biomed sc course in degree ?

I used to think biomedical science is more about chemistry than bio- Im more confident in my bio and my chem is kinda eh and I thought maybe I couldn't take biomed. But since u say biomed little bit chem then i boleh relax abit dy xD

Hey guys I've graduated from highskl before 2days and I wanted to take up biomedical sciences as I love biology. I'm sure ABT that decision. I have a doubt is there a lot of physics involved in biomedical sciences? And is biomed hard? I'm sure with my decision of taking up biomedical sciences.its a 4yr course. Just wanted to have a clear idea.

Ohhh u do have a choice to choose where you'd like to stay. Of course, for the first year, the university will already have arranged accommodation for all students.

Yes! But you would more than likely have to take some prerequisites for the masters program. Look up the school and the classes required prior to applying

I'd highly suggest having good fundamentals for physics since biomed engineering is an engineering course and deals with more physics than biology.

hi wisely, I'm currently applying through the upu system and have been very interested in biomedical science for a long time. But my family keeps saying that its hard to get a job with that degree so idk what to do. Should I just take the risk and make my parents mad? hahah

Ahahaha if it would make your family furious I'd think twice myself🤣🤣 But anyhow I'd still stand firm in believing I should make the choices for my own life. 💪🏻💪🏻 Career-wise I personally feel like it shouldn't be too much of a problem, there are lots of opportunities but it still depends on what you really want to venture into. Hiya, sorry for the late reply. But biotech is under the faculty of science and they learn a large field of biology including plants, while us biomedical science we mainly focus on us humans only. Hope that clarifies your thoughts. 😄

In UM, we don't have degree majors and minors, so I'm assuming you are asking would it be recommended to take biomedical engineering as a degree. There's a lot of stuff to factor in before you make your decision, but if you're interested in how biology can be integrated in engineering fields, I'm pretty sure biomed engineering would be something you can look into.

Good comparison, guys! And nice to meet you! For BMS, indeed, the IBMS accreditation thing is for UK people that want to work in the NHS (medical labs). Not per se needed for academic research labs or industry R&D labs... What year are you guys in? Cheers from a Belgian fellow YT'er in Biomed!

What's your current level of study?? If you're aiming to get into public universities, I'd recommend going for matriks as it is more prioritised (at least back when I was enrolled, things might have change now based on circumstances).

Hi there Hassan, I understand your concern, but I can't give you a definite answer as the pay depends on many factors such as which specific field you might venture into, and whether or not you're going into private sectors and etc. And yea, I myself have yet to graduate as well, but based on seniors feedback, they were all able to land a job, and the wage was 'cukup makan' for them. It takes 4 years to complete a Biomedical Science Degree in UM. 💪🏻

@@meimunxararehassan6400 To be honest, not many students study biomedical science. There's about 40-50 students each batch. And 1 or 2 of them are students from overseas. But don't worry, we Malaysians are very friendly 😊😊
