That aven interceptor on that 3 steps ahead. Wow, that was a big brain move that would never occur to me in a million years. I love how mtg can still amaze me at random moments even after all these years of playing.

It’s also a good idea to use aven interruptor on spree cards in general as their options are additional costs so still need to be paid (although the base cost of the spree is free if aven interruptor isn’t there)

technically the opponent could use the 3 steps ahead just to draw 2 discard 1 on their turn, only the counter part is dead. intercepting a no more lies or negate or elspeth smite works even better because then they are truly dead cards.

Soul partion is a lot better than get lost here especially with interrupter. Dropping down to one channeler hurts your card draw especially with no salvation swan. Dropping elspeths might really hurts on the draw vs aggro. 3 kastral feels slow and greedy. Ruin lurker bat looks much better than miners guidewing. I would also drop 2 plumecreed escorts for the flash pirate whatever he's called for some card filtering and possible free spell. Dazzling denial is an ok choice but no more lies exiles and that can be pretty relevant with a lot of graveyard synergy in standard. Jackdaw savior is cute but I think you would be better served cutting some and playing a 1 of dewdrop cure. You might have gone all in on bird tribal for three tree city but I don't see what you are going to do with the extra mana here.

0:50 here’s an idea. The official story about Bloom-burrow’s Birdfolk is that they are the ‘helpers’ of society. They take pride in their ability of flight and use it to help those who can’t fly or are in trouble they can’t escape. So, this is reflected through their mechanic: they help the creatures who don’t have Flying. Those who do, can fly away from other troubling creatures. These effects are triggered by creatures with Flying because they are the helpers. The gameplay tells a narrative on its own.

I think Salvation Swan has place in format like Pioneer/Explorer since Solemnity is legal there. You could flicker Aether Channeler infinitely since it wouldn't get flying counter, splash red for some haste enabler and smack your opponent here and there. Edit: nevermind, i forgot Salvation Swan says return it at the beginning of the next end step LMAOOOO

Most aggro players are very weak willed. Rarely do they ever seem willing to see if they can pull off a win. If they don't curve out and win by turn 4 or 5 they scoop.
