What I've learned from your videos is that there are many options to manage your menopause but ultimately only one that really works, which is HRT. The rest may help with some symptoms, but are really not effective for any of the serious stuff.
@MenopauseTaylor

There's no doubt that some management styles are more efficient and effective than others. But the goal is to honor each woman's wishes. But you are absolutely right that none of the other options is as capable of preventing the diseases of estrogen deficiency as well as estrogen is ... just like no other option would prevent diabetes as insulin does. Great way to make it easy to understand to keep our mind open. Education is key to making or giving an opinion. I recall my first birthing. I swore practicing Lamaze would mean NO pain during delivery. I was told to breathe. I screamed, I AM breathing! Then I grabbed the nurse and demanded to see the anesthesiologist NOW! I taught my youngest son that he cannot give an opinion about food unless he tried it. He uses that principle to this day...and not just about food. I am so very grateful to you and the time (and love) you put into my menopause education. 😘❤️

Thank you for all the info. I'm from the UK 45yrs old and I had a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy 4months ago for stage 1 endometrial cancer. The lab results after op showed it was endometrial hyperplasia with atypia. During the op the surgeon found severe endometriosis. So with caution I started BHRT about 3 months ago in form of estradiol cream 0.5mg initially once then twice a day. Unfortunately its flared up old fading melasma 😞 feel devastated. Only 3 months in and I've got quite dark patches around my cheeks and nose. Is there any alternative I can use that will give my body the long term protection and manage the surgical menopause side effects ? Thank u if u read this to the end.

This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I'm in the business of educating you about everything you need to know and do in order to get exactly what you want for managing your menopause your way. So, here's how a consultation works: 1) You would schedule a one-on-one consultation at my website, MenopauseTaylor.ME, choosing a time that is convenient for you. I do consultations on Skype, FaceTime. Facebook Messenger, What’s App, and the phone. 2) I would send you an email to confirm that you are scheduled for the stated time, and invite you to send me as much information about yourself as you please. You can make it brimming with details and tell me about your reproductive life, any gynecologic problems you've had, your symptoms of peri-menopause, and your symptoms of post-menopause. You can include all your fears, concerns, and goals for your menopause management. You may also send me any labs, mammogram results, bone density results, etc. that you would like me to include in designing your protocol. If you want to adhere to a certain category of management options (herbs or diet & lifestyle, or whatever), you should tell me that. I will give you a 5-day deadline for sending all materials, and will not accept anything after that date. 3) I'll get busy creating a document that gives you all the education you need to understand absolutely everything, points out the pros and cons of each option, and tailors it all to YOU, using the information you have provided. The document will be loooooong. Most are over 30 pages. 4) I will send you the document by email 72 hours before your consultation. You will benefit greatly by reading it in advance. Light bulbs will go off like crazy, and if you're like most women, you'll feel that you've already gotten your money's worth. 5) During your consultation, we will review the document and address any issues you want in order to fine tune everything and determine your best options. I'll tell you exactly how to find the right kind of professional, how to have the conversation in order to get what you want, and the nuances of things like guidelines and insurance. I leave nothing unaddressed. 6) You will go to a professional of your choosing in order to get the actual hormones or whatever you choose to use. 7) After the first consultation, I'll hold your hand (forever if you want me to). In other words, you'll be able to schedule mini-consultations (30-minute, in addition to full consultations) whenever you need to. I'll keep records of your situation. Most women schedule mini-consultation whenever they go to the doctor and don't understand what he or she said, or why. I translate. I make sense of everything. Most schedule mini-consultation whenever they have a new test and they want me to explain the results. And all schedule mini-consultation whenever their situation changes and they need to re-weigh and re-balance their options. The time you spend with me will make everything about working with any other professional so easy. And they will love the fact that you have an actual education rather than a bunch of misconceptions that you got from the Internet. If your initial hormone regimen is not right, you'll want to consult with me before going to your doctor. I can prepare you for what to expect and what to request. So, that's my role. And nobody else on earth does this kind of thing but me. So, I hope you schedule a consultation and let me hold your hand (figuratively). I hope to meet you soon!

@MenopauseTaylor

Angie, Please have a consultation with me about this. You are getting yourself into a problem zone here. One of the most common questions women ask is, “What should my hormone levels be during post-menopause?” Let’s look at this from a practical perspective: Post-menopause is a situation in which your sex hormones (estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone) essentially fall to 0. So, if the “normal” levels are 0, how in the world does anyone say what level is desirable in post-menopause? Women are not robots. Hormone levels of 0 cannot arbitrarily be decided by a lab, a doctor, or you. There is no such thing as a “normal hormone level” in post-menopause when the normal level is 0. But your own body does tell you when your hormone level is right FOR YOU. If you listen to your body rather than to a lab or a doctor, whose “normal” levels are entirely fabricated, you’ll be a lot better off. I will help you interpret what your own body is telling you so that you don't end up treating the lab instead of treating YOU.

I just started bhrt 2 wks ago for help with symptoms & disease prevention that I learned about from you😉. I am 5 yrs postmenopausal & never had hrt. My dr put me on testosterone pellets & said we'll test blood levels after 6 wks to see how much testosterone is converted into estrogen. She said most likely, enough will be converted to prevent disease & symptoms & I won't need to add estrogen & progesterone (I still have my uterus). Is this accurate? Could testosterone convert to enough estrogen to prevent disease & is it true that since I wouldn't technically be taking estrogen - I wouldn't need progesterone (this is what I was told).🤔 Please help! I am scared & although I'm feeling better, I'm concerned about preventing disease & concerned that testosterone alone may not help with that(???). Please help! Thank you for what you do!

Although I & many others thoroughly appreciate your help, it is still hard when you go to dr & although she seemed "impressed" with what I did know (& I assure you, it's not enough, lol), she still kinda "humored" me when I told her I'm watching your videos & learning & very concerned about making the right decision regarding my hormones & health. She took the lead, because she's the dr & its harder in the trenches to dispute or question, when I'm looking to them to know. Its very frustrating - I feel like there's nothing else that we're expected to become an expert on, before seeking help from the "expert"(??). Anyways, my concern is I now have this testosterone pellet in & my most recent bloodwork is before (this past May),but I'm due to get bloodwork on the 31st, to see what this T is doing. I don't want to get advice from you, based on the older bloodwork & w/o knowledge of what is specifically its happening right now. I'm thinking I should wait to get my bloodwork & do it then. Meanwhile I'm watching more videos & reading your book too. Idk what's the avenue to take.
