Drummer (Russ Leslie) lived a couple of houses away in Plainedge NY. We used to go over and watch them putting the toons together for this album (I still have the original vinyl), playing in the garage with the door open. Being in our mid-teens at the time, we were usually in an altered state of mind which worked well with the music. Side note: The Hassles (Billy Joel's band) used to practice across from our junior high school in North Massapequa. The 60s were good on The Island!

I knew them well...more friends with Dennis Derespino. Use to watch them play at OBI/Long Beach Inn... Had heard Russ went on to play for Tommy James..no idea if true. Would see The Hassles and The Rich Kids all on LI...those were the days.

Greatness. I'm in the middle of a snowstorm and I'm smoking some blueberry kush. This record makes the day.

Russ, the drummer was very good. He also sang lead and it is mostly his voice on the album. Check out their single, “Is it on, is it off” on KZitem. Has as a soulful voice

I can hear a reggae version of “Speak Softly.” Maybe by Jacob Miller or Barrington Levy.

38:24 Reminds me of beginning part from Mother by John Lennon which released 2 years after. The album sounds pretty unique and experimental
