Bivol is a Romanian noun, and means "buffalo". That's how I even searched if he has anything to do with Romania. His father is ethnic Moldavian/Romanian, not Russian, not "soviet-russian" as some illiterates are saying here. During and after WWII, many Romanians were deported by the Soviets in Kyrgyzstan (along with Germans) and other banana republics. Maybe this has somehow to do with the reason of their relocation to Kyrgyzstan... Learn some history for God's sake. Don't get me wrong - I don't care how he or anyone identifies. But facts must be put straight. Moldova was annexed by the Soviets, and russified by the imperialists and communists. However, the Moldavians are merely Romanians, they speak Romanian with Russian accent.

Ms. Zhang, There are not many but you will be surprised that there are people similar to Bivol in Central Asia. Mr. Josepf Stalin and his Russian government, during the 20th century, forcibly evicted the Korean people from Eastern Siberia to Central Asia. As a result, many Korean people die from sickness and hunger during and after this inhumane forced migration. However, a small Korean population survived Stalin's communism in Central Asia. Dmitry Bivol could have heard horror stories from his Korean side. The Soviet government did that to the Chinese and Manchurian people around the same time. Except that Russian soldiers actually shot at fleeing civilians while they crossed the river, Hei Long Jiang or the Amur River, back into China.
