WHERE TO PUT YOUR EQUIPMENT? A small tip with a big effect - protect your equipment from wetness, storms and thieving wild animals.
In this video I show you how you can protect your equipment, especially your rucksack, jacket, cooking set and if necessary shoes, from wetness, storms and wild animals when bivouacking in nature.

Anyone who has ever bivouacked on a summit or at an exposed spot knows the problem with where to put their equipment. Bivouac bags are often too small or too narrow so that you can take your bulky rucksack inside with you, that's why you deposit your rucksack in front of the bivouac bag with the rain cover on. But this has some disadvantages, as I will show in this video.
The solution is quite simple: an additional large packsack is an ideal supplement to bivouacing in nature. With a waterproof packsack you can protect all your equipment from rain, storms and even thieving wild animals.
Which size for which backpack?
My experience has shown that the 40 litre storage bag is also good for backpacks up to 40/45 litres, but after that you should reach for the large storage bag.

My passion for nature and outdoor has already been put into my cradle. As a toddler I could already sniff the summit air while hiking in the Kraxe of my grandfather. For some years now I have been very active in bushcraft, hiking and staying overnight in the forest. There is nothing better than spending the time outdoors in nature, building a Bushcraft camp, cooking in the forest kitchen and after a day in the forest spending the night outdoors under a tarp. With my Bushcraft and Outdoor Channel I would like to share my love for nature with you and wish you a lot of fun with my Bushcraft and Outdoor Videos.
