The doc is eh, but if anything I empathize more with Bret. But was surprised at the mention of Ashley Massaro, that girl deserved better. They all did.

I actually disagree. It was the best time to do the documentary. If they had done it 10 years earlier, the doc would be missing the end of the story. If they'd done it a few years later, well, it never would have happened. It just happened to line up perfectly so they could cover Vince's reign from beginning to it's literal end. That's perfect timing.

I think the documentary is great. Granted, there's not any new information brought to light, but when everything is presented together over a 40-year period, a pattern of behaviour emerges, and you get to see what kind of man he really is.

Hey, their whole purpose was to get people to watch it to get views and they accomplished it. They just made a deal with WWE. They're not going to tear apart and demonize a company that they're hoping is going to make them millions. If not billions of dollars over the next few years they're going to come just up to the line to make it seem like there. Really trying but really everybody tuned in and watched it whether they agreed with it or not. Everyone has watched it which is mission accomplished for them. They don't care if you like it or agree with it. They just needed you to watch it so their numbers would be up and they won. It could have been an interview with Vince McMahon farting on a snare drum for six episodes. People would have tuned in to watch it and they still would have won

I knew this WWE NXT/TNA partnership would end badly; they don't need the name; they called his daughter "Arianna Grace", and didn't acknowledge who her dad is until a month ago. If they cared about it, they wouldn't have used Rosemary as a jobber until this week in a short tag match, Hammerstone has weirdly been a conspicuously massive jobber in *TNA* and NXT (in short losses) and they haven't sent bigger names to the Impact tapings than young Kendal and Carlee or the NQCC. I guess Jordynne Grace's *Grandma* overpowering Wendy at Victory Road was a nice "how'd YOU like it" moment, as far as presentation. JBL (Sorry, *John Layfield* 😬🤣) wiping out the current Tag Champs and top heel stable members Eddie and Brian singlehandedly is not helpful, despite being TNA's own booking...

For the typical ‘casual’ wrestling fan an absolute treat but if you are a proper wrestling fan or long time veteran/connoisseur to watching wrestling …. Nothing much was totally new but it was great to have an overview on each era from the wrestlers and workers point of the and the evolution of WWE from the McMahon and the old guards point of view. There’s still more to it but that’s for ‘another day’. Hearing Brets story was heartbreaking ❤️🩹

I didn’t really learn anything new from the doc. Given the new TKO/Netflix deal, they probably didn’t want to delve too deep for fear of fallout. Or maybe we’ve all be swerved and they’re setting up an “after Mr. McMahon” sequel.

So I hear what you guys are saying in that first part about the documentary series and without going into any too deep details, it sounds like Vince McMahon was a lot like a certain other person currently involved in a highly public situation in this particular case the American government just saying it also happens to be somebody who hung out at WWE and is a Hall of Famer as well I’m gonna leave it at that

Some good stuff in the doc but one thing that stuck out to me was why the hell were there so many clips from Tony Atlas and Dave Meltzer? Would’ve been much better to hear more from everyone else who participated. And Jim Ross, Jim Cornette, hell even Vince Russo weren’t included.

I watched all 6 episodes yesterday and I thought at one point around Ep 2 or 3 that this thing was gonna nail him for every bad thing he ever did, then it seems like it quickly pivoted to historical shit and away from all the terrible shit. About halfway it just becomes another throwaway WWE doc.
