Anyone who has had children or been around children know. Little short legged people move quickly and are quite agile. It seems more likely little Jayred got lost. In the elements. He probably removed his own clothes due to hypothermia. It is said the body will get warm to protect itself. Its doubtful anyone took him. While there are people hiking and fishing.. It seems a bit of a stretch that anytime a child vanishes in the woods. A predator just happened to be lurking knowing a child will break free at that moment. At that location! After four years in the elements. His bones will be scattered by wind, rain and critters. As did his clothing. Not every disappearance is an abduction. Police back in the 40s and 50s were not experienced in forensics nor evidence gathering. Once in awhile one might have foresight and preserve an item or blood. It's not surprising they bullied this child into confession. Its how they conducted interviews then. Happily he was able to move on and build a life.

And if not for the shoes I would agree, also although not mentioned in this video. The FBI arrived and that was highly unusual. I've read much on this case and just when you come to a conclusion?? Something won't add up. There is no reasonable explanation that a pair of shoes out in the mountains for 4 years would look brand new. I personally believe the individual responsible kept the shoes as trophies, then later decided it was too risky and returned and placed them there. Everyone in the church group should have been looked at much closer as well as the 2 men who found the clothes.
@tessaducek5601
2 жыл бұрын
@@cannpdx781 I understand children running ahead. But I have to agree.. Perhaps the group should have been looked at closer. With so many in the group and his sister. It baffles me. I know not all siblings are the same. But my boys and now grandsons stuck together. If not running and playing. Or to see what the other is up to. In other situations where children and adults vanished in forests or woods. Clothes. Including shoes are discarded and they keep walking. It is odd that the shoes were in better condition than the clothes. The clothes were in pretty bad shape. I can accept someone keeping them as souvenirs then discarded them. But why in the same general area? Why not a trash can, to go all the way back to the same area seems a bit extreme.

I feel so bad for every child featured in these cases. What kind of human being bullies an 8 year old into confessing to a murder? When these incidents happen, I always wonder why police do this? Is it because they feel pressure to solve the case, do they face some kind of reprimand for not solving it? Or do they want the clout for solving it? Then there are the cases where the suspect is clearly guilty, and will even commit the same crime over and over, and police do nothing. We always seek to understand the mind of a killer, but equally fascinating is the mind of a detective.
