The way a Shazam/Black Adam movie should go, is that Billy begins to idolise Adam, thinking that he's a "more grown up" kind of hero. This puts a strain on his family relationship, as he sees them worrying about Adam's brutality as them holding him back and being childish. Adam, meanwhile, sees his son in Billy, and wants to bond with him. Eventually, probably after Adam murders a bad guy in front of Shazam, and gives the whole "murder is the only way to make a real difference" speech, Billy rejects him, and they have a 1 on 1 fight. Adam doesn't want to kill Billy, but he thinks he's too naive for his power and steals it from him, ready to "fix the world" as the only Shazam-style hero. He locks Billy away somewhere, for his safety, but he is rescued by his family who never gave up on him. The final act would be the de-powered family vs Adam, which is an easy win for him, but it would actually be a distraction so set up a foreshadowed method of reclaiming their powers from him, leading into the full on fight. The end would have Adam depowered, and imprisoned by human agency, with Adam disowning Billy. Another Mr. Mind cameo would set up Adam working with him and Savanna in a future movie to defeat the Shazam family.

@@spartanB0292 I feel like it's literally (though not necissarily) built into the characters as they're portrayed in these films so far. Billy is an orphan, Adam lost his son. Billy is at that stage in life where the need to be seen as "mature" can cause people to do dumb things, Adam is would see the kindness and valuing of life in Billy as the traits that got his son killed, etc. They absolutely will NOT make this film, however, because not only would the Rock have to agree to play and antagonist, he'd also have to lose a fight. It's the Will Smith/Deadshot problem, where the character is changed to suit the actor's public image.

I was confused where the demon threw the ship's tip and the back end dropped into the water. Was there a missing scene or a cut scene that showed the dead body, the mom, the son and the brother being dropped off somewhere? Because the last scenes with them beforehand were the brother healing from the nanobot operation, the son getting a cape from Cyclone and Atom Smasher, and the mom investigating the crown. Then all the sudden the body comes to life, which I thought was in the ship...but all the sudden the demon is outside in the middle of the ocean attacking the ship. Then the next scene is the 3 family members running through the city like nothing happened.

Just to be clear, Gotham Knights was not developed by the same studio as the Arkham games. Rocksteady Studios developed the mainline Arkham games and are developing the upcoming Suicide Squad game, while Gotham Knights was developed by WB Montreal who previously worked on the WiiU port of Arkham City, Batman Arkham Origins (a reskin of Arkham City's mechanics) and the DLC missions for Arkham Knight. Gotham Knights is is basically the first major game WB Montreal have ever developed from scratch. So this isn't a case of the Arkham devs being burned out or overworked, just different inexperienced devs making a mediocre game.

As a pro-wrestling fan, it's annoying that The Rock has a Hogan-esque clause in his contracts. I wonder if he tells the studio execs "That doesn't work for me brother" when a story is supposed to have him put someone over. 😒 A character who always wins (or ties) is boring. Anyone who knows writing knows that. That's why I absolutely never watch his films. I've literally never seen any of his films. Although he has a massive ego also, I think Bautista has the better filmography.
@robofistsrevenge3288

The thing is that Bautista is always open for playing new things. He has a really small, but subdued and pretty nuanced performance in Blade Runner 2049, and trying to imagine The Rock in that role is...borderline impossible. I don't know if he can _do_ nuanced. I think he begins and ends at "action movie hero", which just isn't a sustainable career plan these days.

FWIW Gotham Knights is fine. It is a little grindy but not to the point that it ruins the game. Basically every "case" has a series of missions out in Gotham that need to be completed, mostly just busting up crimes or doing investigations. Imagine all the random street crimes you ended to busting up in the Arkham games except now they're tied to story missions. It's not exactly thrilling but it's nowhere near as exhausting as Avengers was. Though I suspect at some point it was exactly as bad as Avengers and they scaled it back significantly after the backlash to that game.
