what's strange is that you can drive through a grove of redwoods, and you may not even notice. Kings Canyons sequoias are a completely different beast. You know immediately that you're dwarfed by trees that seem out of a dream. You actually feel small in their presence. Bears rock

I'm in my mid fifties and was raised over by Sequoia National Park and have been at the highest peaks of the Sierra's and have never seen a 🐻 and quite frankly don't want to.

I'm always amazed to hear stories like yours. I spent lots of time in the Sierras during the past 30 years, especially on the flip side of Yosemite. I have so many bear stories I can't count them all. On one trip, everywhere we hiked, there was at least one bear. I got tired of Bears, especially when one swatted at my tent door after I fell asleep. My deepest voice yelled out: "Get away, Go!!!!" Luckily, it did. Since then, I don't sleep in a tent anymore. LOL
