False accusations are never punished -- though it destroys any man they're leveled against -- no matter how much power he has. This "men have all the power" BS is entirely fiction. This movie is the perfect example of all the problems with this era of filmmaking. There are issues in here worth talking about but the writers just hammer then in instead of trying to tell a story. It makes people hate even talking about these issues, because these characters are preachy, self-righteous, and don't understand any of the nuance of the real world. Even a movie like Barbie at least showed a few angles on feminism, and that a society run by one gender alone doesn't work. THOSE are ideas you can wrap into a story.

This review is absolute fucking perfection, Andy, Evil, and Little. The humor and quips. The Wrasslin’ references. Lydia’s almost belly rub turned massacre. Axl’s version of KOHD. The editing -I rewatched the Diva cup bit at least 9 times and I cried laughing. Thank you for such a blessed Christmas gift. Are you going to see The Iron Claw? I’m going this week. I’ve seen and heard how bad the actor they got to play Ric Flair (they could have gotten Jay Lethal and put him in a blonde wig and it would have been 99% better). I am so excited to see it. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Andy! 🎄♥️💚♥️💚

@@honestdave I spent 9 hours watching the (most of the) first ep of Rings of Power. I don't know why I got as far in as I did, maybe I was inspired by certain movie youtubers and the schlock they manage to get through. At some point I realized I ain't gonna get paid to finish it and gave up. Still good to know I got things to look forward to, can't wait to spend 3 months watching some remake or another. In better news, have a good Die Hard day.

Horror has, for the most part, had strong final girls. For her to claim her movie was an intro for young girls is pretty arrogant of her. And kinda takes a piss on all those strong female characters who were written far better in better films before this. But - another awesome review! Always look forward to these!

You can write a Christmas story about discrimination. That’s the entire plot of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The fact that women can get away with insulting men and putting them down when the other way around would get men in trouble disgusts me. Tell me again why we live in the fictional scapegoat known as a “patriarchy”.

well one good thing to come out of this was Jason Blum getting to have a shining example to show in the future of why he doesn't hire female directors. He gave her the opportunity on a silver platter and instead of making a quality horror film, she squandered the opportunity to push her agenda. He couldn't have been proven more right.
@DivineNaruto
10 ай бұрын
So he also shouldnt hire male directors cause male directors have made worse.
@ericnierstedt6242
10 ай бұрын
@@DivineNaruto I think they both come out bad. Blum probably just did this to shut up the critics, and could've already known putting this director and project together would fail and he'd be proven right. But at the same time, the director needed to realize the opportunity here and made a movie that was empowering for women but could appeal to everyone. I think the lesson is ultimately that you have to use the right person for the job, and that person has to be willing to do the work.

You know this Reminds Me of the Grinch Adaptations, the First One it’s a Classic, the Second One was Controversial(although the Jim Carrey One is a Masterpiece to Me), and the Third One is a Abomination that shouldn’t have Existed as it Ignores All that makes the Original Great, 2019 like the Hellboy Movie that came out the same year is a Bastardizing Mess with so many Problems that the Remake deserves the Boots movie that the last Black Christmas, Merry Christmas to the Andies, their Cats, and Everyone, and have a Happy New Year.
