Glad that they fixed them for you! Under a year old definitely warrants that. Not a bad price for carbon fibre products! Joke: carbon fibre light switch really makes the room lighter haha...being in the bike community I’ve grown to appreciate carbon fibre.

I've been debating grabbing some running poles. I've got some black diamond hiking poles that work well for long days with a lot of vert, but I'm so uncoordinated I'm afraid I'm going to eat it while running.

It definitely takes practice getting used to them. The first 3ish miles for me felt so awkward! But after you get your rhythm with them they are a great tool for lots of vert!

Hi, love them... Which length do you suggest for alpinism? I’m 180cm tall. Thank you!

Honestly I am not sure. I am 6'3 tall, so I ordered the 130cm poles.

According to Leki, it is 125 cm for trekking.

I’m 6’1” and just got the 130 pole, ideal I think would be 125cms, but the 130 def too long so swapping for the 120 as that’s all they have. I like to also run with poles so I’ve been told if ur more of a runner than hiker go 1 size down 🤷🏻♂️

Love my Black Diamond Carbon Z poles, these are a difference maker and I would NOT have finished my first 100-miler without them. Thanks Steven!

I totally agree! They really help save my back and legs on vert intensive long stuff. Thanks, Reto!

You don’t with these. They are not adjustable. You have to order the correct size.

Do you feel like poles are needed for NB100?
@UltraTrailSteven
3 жыл бұрын
That’s entirely individual. I know last year with my ankle injury, the poles were crucial in my finishing. There aren’t and really long climbs, but they certainly help toward the end.

How does carrying sticks help you?

Using trekking poles helps by reducing the load on your legs and back. They help tremendously on climbs.

@@UltraTrailSteven A lot of my fellow thru-hikers use 'em. I'm curious enough that I just snagged these. Thanks
