Ya well unfortunately, the topic of genetics can create openings for people to promote things like phrenology. You know, like Calvin Candy in "Django Unchained". It's actually kind of a shame because there probably is some useful insights to gain from comparing the skulls of different races/cultures. In fact, "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler was considered to be a boxer that was damn near impossible to actually knock out. He'd been rocked plenty of times, but is one of the few boxers of that era to not get flat-lined. Now, I'm not sure if this is legit, but apparently Hagler had agreed to be a research subject because of his steel chin and it was claimed that his skull was slightly thicker than most human beings. However, this was during the late 80's, early 90's and no one really knows if this was true or not. And the speculation was, that the research was not publicized because there was some concern that it could provide ammo for people in the boxing world to de-legitimize Hagler's achievements, among other things. But if there is anything to that, it could be valuable. Not just in identifying people with potential benefits but maybe even inform athletes that play contact/combat sports that they may have a higher risk for head trauma.

Even his fellow strong men couldn't do more than lift this weight, an inch of the ground for half a second. My dad of average built at 6 feet couldn't even move it. You have so many different kinds of 'white', nordic white (Icelandic, Norwegian etc), eastern european white(Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Poland etc), north european white(Dagestan, Chechenya), Western European white (Holland, Belgium etc) and Mediterranean white (Spanish, Italian, Greek etc). Need I elaborate on the different groups under the umbrella of black. So you can't say what do white people excel in, technically there isn't a white people. Mediterraneans are far different to eastern europeans, but they are grouped as if they are one.
@marcopony1897
2 жыл бұрын
@@Iaintsayinnothin.. well, european populations are much more closely related to one another than african populations to one another. Because european populations are a mix of the same ancestral groups, but in different proportions. These ancestral groups are western european hunter & gatherers, early european farmers from western anatolia and the agean, as well as the yamnaya people or indoeuropeans from eastern europe. Every european can be genetically modelled as a mix of these groups, but as i said, in varying proportions. Northern- and eastern europeans generally inherited more indoeuropean/yamnaya and western european hunter & gatherer DNA. Southern europeans on the other hand inherited more of the early european, anatolian farmer component. But you'd really have to look trough a modern high-tech sequencing machine to see the genetic difference between spaniards and germans for example.

My 100m sprint in year 10 was 10.7 secs. Meanwhile, I am an ectomorph, light frame, was 89kgs peak with 380kg leg press. @Azera Alahada the difference is, "IQ" or general intelligence isnt affected by genetics that much while things like speed and muscle mass heavily are dependent on them. put a baby of every race in controlled environment and theyl all grow up with around the same intelligence, maybe some ahead and some behind but none in the extreme. intelligence being genetic is pretty idiotic thats like saying having nobel prize winning college professors as parents guarantees you being realy smart, maybe it will but thats just because they raised you that way, you werent inherently born more mentally capable than other babies

The average black person usually has twice the bone density compared to white person and bone is strong as metal so if a black guy looks the same size as a white guy most likely the black guy will win a street fight. Black people have the hidden bone density that even black people don’t even know about. So next time you have to ask why black people usually win against whites in a street fight now you know why.

@Azera Alahada running, American football and basketball: the stereotypical sports. I think it's not unfair to say that due to culture and upbringing, other sports are not as popular among black ppl. At least African American. You could also mention football as in soccer. Body building. I don't think there are many black badminton players In the same way there aren't many Chinese American football players, it's just not popular. Also at the end he says, there is merely a higher concentration of these genes in West Africans, and that there are plenty of non black people that dominate in sports. I get what ur saying but I dont think it's his intention. It is definitely not a lie that I can't rmemeebr where but a high altitude African country has greater lung capacity and higher red blood cell count due to living in higher altitudes. There is variability between races for sure, but the variability within races themselves are bigger. He just shedding some light. An example being why are koreans the tallest Asians? Diet etc. Why were Dutch people the shortest 3 centuries ago but now the Tallest? Cultural reasons. Dinka people are no longer the tallest due to war and poor nutrition.
@menooby2653

@Azera Alahada he meant on average for a sufficiently large group of people, that racial genetics don't matter. But you're right, intelligence is genetic. But without education its not much. And he is right that your physical body is very dependant on genetics assuming the environment and nutrition is the same. Your brain is also genetic tho assuming environment and education is the same.

Rewind a few decades back and we would have said the same about tennis or gymnastics - that at the highest level it is a white dominant sport because whites have certain better genes! The reason we see less black success in power lifting or strongest man (indeed in any field of endeavour including ice-skating, swimming, intellectual and academic) is a question of participation and access to resources and opportunity. It is only Black/African americans that generally have some semblance of equal access to facilities that western populations take for granted. When we compare AA population to the west we are comparing 40m (AA) to 350m+ (West Europe only). We have not even added Russia (150m) and other eastern european countries! African American performance has been exceptional, considering the limited access to economic resources and opportunity, in comparison with the dominant population in the west - and other socio-economic-political factors such as anti-black racism - and is an indicator of superlative black performance in any field (sport - intellectual) we should expect should other african populations get it together socially,politically and economically.

This was a fascinating video. Big fan of anthropology and genetics due to my rare genes. I'm descended from a group of people from the Scottish highlands that no longer exist as a culture, identity or people, just their genetics do and only slightly. They were called the Picts and were usually pretty hairy, medium height, had dark /dark brown hair, sometimes red and did well in colder climates (obviously, we're talking about really north europe.) I have all of these traits. But in the past I was always really baffled because some of my black friends would tell me "You just don't look like the white people from around here. Yea, you're white, but you look different. " I didn't really understand what they meant, but now I do. I've got this really ancient, indigenous blood in me from a place that used to be scarcely populated. Every ethnicity and culture has it's own unique and beneficial genetics and I am fascinated with each and every culture of the world. Really cool video. I learned a lot. From both this video and my friends. Cool stuff.

Abundance of facial hair, decent amount of body hair (except for my arms) dark brown hair, dark green / hazel eyes, medium height and quite light, but tannable skin color. Almost with a very feint tan hue in it, but still being very light. My autosomal test says I'm 100% North West, Atlantic European. And despite this, my paternal haplogroup is J2-M172. The subclade only being found in England, Switzerland, Greece, Germany and Saudi Arabia. Even more strangely, it's been in Europe much longer than it's been in Saudi Arabia, indicating it may have been in Europe with the neolithic farmers from Anatolia.. The mystery endures...

@Diabaddus

@@stuckonaslide This is actually not true. Homo sapiens developed in multiple regions around the world in a synchronized fashion with a very small time window. This is why there is actually 21 different subspecies of Neanderthal. You can blame math and cosmic Density for this phenomenon, as 21 is composed of 3 7’s which symbolizes the chain of events that composed into forming Homo sapiens or “Humans”. The short reality is that there were 21 species of pigmy to begin with and the the primary 4 that exist today killed off the rest due to similar conditions we find ourselves in today. It’s important that we recognize the significance of each race and what they brought to the table in the development of Pigmies. However black people are not the closest to our original ancestors, the modern mixed people we see today are actually much more similar. That’s not to say the a black person should feel any shame towards your gifts, the black subspecies was the first to develop after the first species cycle of the Furtive pigmy. This essentially means black peoples share most of the same physical attributes of our original ancestors. However this is just one of the four attribute niches that our Primary Ancestor possessed that made them distinctively different than any other species to ever exist. If you have any more questions please let me know I’d love to answer them.

@@lilpan1187 It boils down to where their ancestors developed and the hardships they were faced with. Many Hispanics have heritage dating back to the ancient warrior tribes of the Americas. This could explain their affinity for the combat sport as their ancestors had very extreme and physically dangerous sports as well. Most Asians ancestors on the other hand came from deep within the Asian peninsula and they most likely had to face more technical problems than any of our other ancestors.
