THAT'S the problem! There is this movement afoot (cultural Marxism mixed with postmodernism) where "power" is awarded to you based on how many different kinds of "victim" you can set yourself as. Which is the reprehensible Marxist enslavement mindset that drove countless millions to their deaths in the Gulag and kept all the rest of society in bondage to fear that they could be next. For the LIFE of me I CANNOT understand why people are venerating and praising and re-initiating this horrendous chapter in 20th Century History. I have studied history, philosophy, psychology and sociology and have an idea why. But it is so "politically incorrect" that I could be de-platformed for it.

Larry Elder is literally the proof of MLKs dream regarding the content of character over skin color. If Larry elder was neon green his articulated speech, honest assessment regarding his own experiences, coupled with true humility and dignity, make for an inspirational speech that leaves me with hope that we’ve come together and things have gotten better; his life and how he lives it is literally a testament to the statements he makes regarding modern perspectives on racism. So thank you Larry for being who you are and doing so with integrity that has been lacking in the political and media discourse for a long time.

We have to teach our children responsibility and don't see themselves as victims. When I see a police officer I do not pay no mind. Some black people attract unwanted attention. My ex used to jeer at the police when he saw them. This nation is still very young and we have a lot to learn still but Larry is right, this country is better now than it has ever been and with any luck it will continue to get better. Some people don't realize that slavery was legal for years and once they learned better they changed, through violent means but they changed and we are continually changing. As long as we don't go backwards we will be fine. We must leave this country in better shape than we received it.

Larry's father was a great man, part of the greatest generation and let no barriers (even sleep) keep him from providing for his family. However, it wasn't men like him that marched in Selma, or sat at the all white lunch counters, or rode the busses into the South in defiance of the segregation laws and with high probability of being burned out and beaten within an inch of their life or worse. It's *not* men like Larry's father or Larry himself who began the hard work of integrating this country and demanding fair treatment for people of all races and cultures, for all Americans, regardless of where they were born. These are not the kind of men who are able to *publicly* acknowledge the work yet to be done and the battles yet to be fought, nor will they join us in the trenches when things get hot. Don't be fooled by men who, however humble and strong they may be, cower at the prospect of change and recoil from the entry way of social transformation. Change is gonna come... kzitem.info/news/bejne/pmep03umgIWSZGk

We seem to have to learn the wisdom of the ages over and over again. From the Bible: Proverbs 18:15 The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out. Proverbs 14:23 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Ephesians 6:1-4 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”-which is the first commandment with a promise- “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Actually caster oil is a safe laxative, fights fungus and acne and is a natural anti inflammatory oil, among other things that promote good health. So now, thank God, the above metaphor can make sense and we can all safely get the intended point.

A Yap It does and being from Chattanooga and loving my city makes me feel bad. I knew it was crap, certainly if you were black but hearing him describe what his father had to deal with is heartbreaking. It would be for anyone but him being a WW11 veteran made it sting even more. I still love Chattanooga though, just not everything that lead us to where we are.

I came here after watching the Ben Shapiro Sunday Special with Larry Elder as his guest. He told the same story, but it's a very powerful one that's worth telling. I'm really glad he did tell the story there because it caught my attention and it made me want to look up more of his videos.

@spot light Racism today is nothing compared to what it was decades ago. Any time somebody today does/says something racist (even a tiny bit racist), they are destroyed by the media and by everyone on social media (unless they are on the political Left). What Larry Elder is talking about is much more serious and more eye-opening than anything I've heard recently. I'm not saying he shouldn't talk about more recent racism (because I'm sure he would have something insightful to say about it), but I wasn't sure exactly what you meant when you said "Too bad Larry Elder never tells stories about more recent white racism." Are you implying he is wasting his time by talking about the ordeals his father went through? Would you like Larry more if he covered something that I believe the mainstream media already focuses a lot of attention on? What specific issues do you think should receive more attention?

This was an OUTSTANDING interview with Larry Elders. You will RARELY see him on Liberal or certain Political networks or even Black organization forums because he does not fit the NARRATIVE that they preach. I'm Black and I agree with the MAJORITY of what he said

I had never heard of Mr. Elders until only recently. He expresses a lot of what I've felt for a long time, but couldn't articulate clearly. And nowadays, you always feel a need to be careful in how you express certain ideas that will cause others to castigate you with all kinds of put-downs. I think he just speaks for so many of us, you know, people with common sense.
