@@Reign_Of_Is_REALIt would still be the same. Africa has the exact same problem on the other side of the world. Black people kill each other at 10/1 of any other ethnicity. Doesn't matter where in the world Black Culture is... it fights itself! The only places on earth where Black communities are successful is where colonization happened that is a fact! When White people brought law and order Black community's are less likely to kill each other. Blacks were already enslaving and killing each other long before white people came and black people still enslave each other today in 2024! There are 40 millions slaves in the world right now and most are in Africa! Unless Black cultures can get back to God, family values and stop murdering ourselves, it will just keep on going. The same vicious cycle as inner city violence or war torn poor countries in Africa. The poorest places in the world are Black communities. To fix this we start by recognizing we need Jesus and we must value life, family and community... or nothing will change. These insignificant grasping of vicitm history mean nothing. They keep us poor and fighting each other. Yes people suffered, I will not take on their suffering. Nobody cares, we must rise to our own challenges. Eliminate welfare destroying kids lives, bring back 2 parent homes, value education and most importantly Bring God back to our communities so we can build success or nothing will change. We were taught we were only here by transatlantic slave trade which is partially true but they hide the fact that blacks have been here centuries before slavery. How about the fact that Native Americans still practiced slavery after the emancipation proclamation.. Is that the history of slavery in America you wanted to talk about? @@josephstocks7495The idea that the entirety of Africa sold other Africans into slavery is a myth & a conservative talking point to gaslight the reality of European colonizers that created & instituted the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Furthermore, there are 54 countries on the continent of Africa, with 3,000 ethnic groups, speaking 2100 different languages. Africans did not view themselves as a monolith, which is common for most tribal societies. In fact, very few tribes sold other Africans into slavery, those that were sold into slavery were POWs, taken during war raids with rival tribes. In fact, Intertribal slavery had been practiced in Africa for years & more often than not POWs would become members of the rival tribal tribe, intermarry, create alliances & began trading with one another, if alliances could not be met they would be at war. No different than tribal wars between Native American tribes in North America. In fact, it wasn’t until the colonizers arrived in Africa that the dynamic of Intertribal slavery changed. Rival tribes used the very tools introduced to them by European colonizers such as ammunition & weaponry to gain advantage & wealth over rival tribes. Meanwhile, entire European Nations had Voyages funded by both the church & elite merchant class to enslave Africans, such as with the Portuguese, under the guise of missionary work. So let’s not play coy, in the grand scheme of things Africans had very little to do with the selling of other Africans into slavery. They were by No Means the machine that operated & facilitated the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. As far as, Free Black ppl owning slaves, even the Library of Congress states that very few Freed Blacks owned slaves & those that did own slaves, were family that were later manumitted(Freed) & that there were very few Freed Blacks that had slave owning plantations. Key words-Very Few….So it’s important to provide context when discussing slavery. So No, Africans did not sell each other over trivial things such as liquor & mirrors, that’s a remedial way of thinking. To be clear, there were actually several tribes that resisted & fought back against the colonizers. Lastly, slavery has been practiced the world over. However, Chattel Slavery, which was generational slavery, is specific to America by way of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade & specific to the foundation of America. So when concerning the topic of Chattel Slavery & the descendants of the Africans whom were enslaved in the Americas, stay on topic & not throw Strawman arguments in an effort to deflect from the history of Chattel Slavery specific to America. As it is a form of gaslighting the Black American experience with the institution of Slavery in America😉

He mentioned the Guyanese and Rutgers scholar Ivan Van Sertima, who wrote books like "They Came Before Columbus" and "The Golden Age of Moors". All should be familiar with his books, have them in their library and teach their children. There are those that won't accept it unless they hear a European, like this video's speaker, saying it. So a video like this is good to have.

I work in a school in Spain and we study 'discovery' of America all the time and many a time have I wanted to speak on this but know I'd get in trouble. We are making some progress though as we now have a lot more South American people in our school, so this year we spoke about it being a 'discovery' ' for the Spanish but then got the perspectives on how they were taught back home and how they're taught that it was a colonisation; one little girl couldn't accept the fact that it was a colonisation though 😂

I’m of Gullah Geechee ancestry as well by way of the Carolinas & Florida, you’re right our elders carry themselves as royalty that’s bcuz out All groups of Black Americans we know where we come from & very proud of our African ancestry just as much as we are American. We don’t suffer from self-hate, nor anti-blackness & I’m grateful for my elders for this much pride, be well Sis, take care.

@@ngonsainti No, I'm with you. In addition to all the information the gentleman was revealing in this video which is 100% accurate, another hidden piece of ancient history is that there were also indigenous people of the Americas that were trading and traveling across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans loooong before Columbus ever arrived in Hispaniola AKA Haiti. One major example or evidence of this is the Grand Canyon...that used to be a major metropolis of Egyptian and indigenous people living in conjunction and also the pyramids of Memphis and the ancient yet hidden artifacts of Tennessee, Texas and Louisiana that clearly showed an ancient group of melanin rich people that were responsible for the mounds and pyramids that dotted the landscape of the southeastern Americas. The out of Africa theory is a part of the colonizers indoctrination, so-called black people have inhabited every continent from the beginning of time without having to migrate to populate areas. We've always been here and on every single continent the indigenous dark skin man has been here from antiquity!

The speaker Frank Joseph explains IN THE VIDEO, that the "undeniable evidence" of the voyages of the Mali empire is the "Maize" or corn (the corn is not native to West Afrika, therefore it was imported) brought back from their trade with the Mayans in the Amerikas. Also, explained in the book "They Came Before Columbus by Ivan Van Sertima: other evidence of trade with Afrikans are the gold tipped arrows the Afrikans left behind, which are the same metallurgy* as the ones found in West Afrika. * A mix of certain percentages of gold, tin and copper?? That's just from memory, so it may be different from that.
