why are you mentioning the fact that he has five kids as if that's feeding into a stereotype? people have kids some have more than one. I say that to say this for example at the end of this video Hugo was dancing with this young white Argentinian woman dressed in black. I also got a chance to talk to her and she told me she had four kids, I say this to say this some people like to have more babies than one it shouldn't be brought up as it fits some form of stereotype unless you only paying attention to one demographic
@Inkahustler

@@ACEDTVL I’m not trying to feed the stereotype way of thinking. I have five siblings and I don’t think, it’s stereotyping Latinos or black at all. I was born in Honduras, my father was Maya native of yucatan Mex. My mother was a native mix with misquito/African. I grew up in an afrocaribbean neighborhood, we spoke English as our first language, and our schools were English until the government closed the schools and went to Spanish, but later my mother sent us to a private bilingual schools. We had racism in my case both ways, we hid the fact of our Mayan and African heritage to avoid racism. Now is a lot better, the country tries to celebrate and be proud of the different ethnic groups. I married a Chinese second generation Canadian, my younger daughter had a DNA test done and came out with 22% African, go figure! I was taught to be proud of my heritage and instilled it in my daughters! Thanks for your videos, they will open many eyes everywhere and hopefully mitigate the racist phobia of many

My friend you are not African mixed, if anything your mixed between assimilated indian tribes and possibly the moors from Spain or Portugal and england who where exiled the same year of the conquest... Look it up. DNA test can not tell you a nationality
@salingstuff8085
Жыл бұрын
DNA test can not trace ancestry. Why?? Because these nationalities only existed the past 700 years or so. Secondly you can not trace ancestry without the DNA of your dead ancestors. What they doing is matching your DNA with living ancestors and that's just saying the % of people in that particular location who has genobes like you. That only means that somebody at some point in time possibly migrated through there that doesn't mean let you have DNA from someone who was actually there in your paternal or maternal lineage. It's 0.0002% accurate

I think the problem with us, argentinians, is that since we don't have many black people around and since we do not separete people in races we sometimes think ''we can't be racist'' but we do act racist without even knowing it, so it is really important to show these experiences from the people who lives them. First step is to accept our issues, so we can have a better society in the future.

She is so right about the derogatory cat-calling . I'm Jamaican born and have traveled all over, 52 countries currently. I visited Buenos Aires in 2016 and I had that same experience of being treated as a sex worker. At first I couldn't figure out why random men were making kissy faces and yelling "mami,mami" at me, it wasn't the usual flirtatious appreciation of a woman's beauty. By the third day there I was over it, I took the double decker city tour bus and sat on the top deck, I was so embarrassed and annoyed when the bus pulled up to an area with some construction guys on a roof, they were heckling at me saying things like "mami Brazil?", laughing and carrying on like school boys. Most women in official places were rude to me for no apparent reason as well. The entire trip wasn't bad, ate lots of good food, brought home good wine and learned some history. But much like Slovakia or Hungary (went to a bath house and as soon as I got in the water all 8 or 9 people there immediately got out, they looked at me like I was mad or I pissed nuclear waste in the water 😆) I'm not in a rush to return. I went to Chile for a few days after Argentina on that same trip and it was night and day, people were much more polite and friendly.

They want to destroy any country in which immigrants all get along. They want to make sure they can still divide us playing on race. The African Americans have been lured into victimhood by those who wish to control them. And because it is easier to make others responsible, instead of standing in their greatness, most of them revel in the role. Argentina is the most accepting country to immigrants in history. Argentines are ALL mixed race by now, racism as a concept is ridiculous and 99% of Argentines would agree with this statement unless they are absolute hypocrites. When they deride what they call “cabezas” they do not refer by this to any color of skin in particular but to ANY person who acts in an uncivilized,disrespectful and selfish manner. We should also remember that most of them are said to be the descendents of German nazis.who ran away from Germany after the collaps of Hitler”s evil war. They hide and settled in South America, especially Argentina after what they did to the Jews. People of that country are naturally over consumed by superio complex and they feed on rediculing and abusing bp. I guess it makes them feel good emotionally. Its sick!. Because they are very few (today like 1% of the population) and most of them are very admixtured, therefore locally they are not considered black (not even by themselves usually, also because there is not much knowledge about their ancestry), and foreigners maybe will see them just like average "brown" Latin Americans or mixed people. In this video they are saying bigger numbers (in percentage) because they are counting people that have some significant level of black ancestry but it's predominantly white or amerindian, and even in that case I think that they are exaggerating saying 5%. I don't know to what places you come here, but probably you noticed that there is a very important minority of "brown" people, and if you pay more attention on them, you will see that only a few look black at some point (the rest are admixtured whites, naturally tanned whites - like people of Middle Eastern descent - and amerindians with or without admixture...). So, obviously is not true that they are like 5% of the population, in that case they would be much more visible. Dark or phenotypically more regular blacks are a minority into the 1% that I mentioned (although due to recent immigration are much more visible today than some decades ago - especially in important urban agglomerations - and probably in most cases are foreigners).

Nobody's trying to count immigrants as part of the senses. this family I interview ancestors have been here since slavery time. This is why I keep the emphasis on generations He was born in 1944 His 6 generation his family has been there since 1764 Before Argentina had their 1st president. you have to be careful when you use the word native because no one's native to Argentina but the indigenous.

@@ACEDTVL -I don't recall reading anything of significant historical importance about black slavery in Argentina. I believe Uruguay does have more history, but Argentina has very little if any history. It was only used as a stopping point for transshipment and redistribution of slaves to other parts of Latin America. Unlike other areas of the new world like nearby Brazil, there was no solid slave economy in Argentina.

Ace, yet another informative professionally done video interview. Well done. The content was provocatively disturbing at times, but reality is like that. Argentina insists on a culture of racist marginalization still needing oppressive validation of their existence. How sad that enlightenment eludes them. However, I’m confident despite generational indoctrination, common sense will ultimately prevail. For a country to have reduced an indigenous population by over 80% is beyond barbaric. It’s well worth the time to appeal on an international scale the crimes against humanity in Argentina. The lack of empathy emanating from many of the responses only strengthens the argument of oppression in that country and begs further investigation. Governments must be held accountable for their intolerance to marginalized citizens.

In the schools they represent what was a reality in colonial Argentina, there were slaves and they were generally street vendors, they are acts with total respect, in no way is it about offending but rather portraying the reality of the time, and I never saw that portray them in a mocking tone. As for racism, there is no doubt that there was and is, but it is not exclusively against an ethnic group, but rather with social strata, and based on statistics, we are one of the least racist countries in the world. Another clarification with what the lawyer says, here in Argentina saying black is not only negative, most of the time it is affectionate and is used with close people. He also lies and exaggerates that housewives are black, education from kindergarten to university is free and whether from any social class they have the opportunity to graduate from a university career, he also lies that people of color have salaries minors only because of their skin color, totally false, it is not true that they are fired because of their skin color, otherwise they would not be hired in the first place, the rights are equal for everyone, no one fires without having any consequence, there are laws that protect to EVERYONE, regardless of ethnicity. Being a lawyer, she does not know what the constitution says, "Foreigners enjoy all the civil rights of citizens in the territory of the Nation; they can exercise their industry, commerce and profession, they are not obliged to admit citizenship, nor to pay extraordinary forced contributions "Tell me where it says Europe...? She is middle class, she is a professional and says that she has fewer rights, fewer opportunities because of her skin color? It can be seen at the end, when he says that Alberto Fernandez is a good president and that they have more rights... Just by remembering what he said in a conference “The Mexicans came from the Indians, the Brazilians from the jungle, but the Argentines from the boats”, it is very obvious that he has no objectivity...
