My head cannon for this album is that a mahtrock band with heavy influences of led zeppelin, pink floyd, fugazi, and slint were just jamming out. Then, half way through the jam sesh, an ancient, evil wizard (under the influence of crack and 250 years of isolation) killed and reanimated their bodies and proceeded to tell his life's story.

That last song on the album is beautiful. A nice cooldown from Ducter, but not as hectic of an ending. I can see why they dropped it but glad I checked out the album on youtube because I'd never heard the cut before.

I stepped out onto the midway. I was looking for the pirate ship and saw this small, old white tent at one end. It was blue and had white lights hanging all around it...

Gentlemen, thank you for the show at the Bowery Ballroom as well as the freebie you threw in Manhattan. This is the best album I've heard in years.
