So I have a final solution to make this game decently playable w/o any real performance issues. You need the dlss mod cryobite utility (recommended setting) vram setting to 4 gb. Use the following commands for the dlss mode:: (WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version =n, b" %COMMAND%-fileopenlog ) w/o the (). The run the game on 1024x640 everything low settings. Set the GPU 1500 and scaling to fill with linear. Set fps to fixed 40 this will alow for a smooth gameplay for around 2 -3 hours this till the memory leak happens. If it happens shut down the. Game. With this setting the graphics are OK and it's playable in prolong a 3 and act 6.

The following: - Resolution 1280x800 - FSR: 66% + the following Settings View Distance Quality: Low Anti-Aliasing Quality: Medium Post-Effects Quality: Medium Shadow Quality: Low Texture Quality: Medium Visual Effect Quality: Medium Hair Quality: Low Vegetation Quality: Low Global Illumination Quality: Low Reflection Quality: Low You can however have everything on Medium Except Hair, Shadows an Global Illumination And would get similar performance. Unfortunately Global ilumination on Low is quite bad, try to set it on Medium and check if the performance is acceptable for you, if not then leave it to low.

And only run this game GPU with 1500 never maximum it will cause some memory issues. If someone want to play docked 1600x1000 is the way to go with proton experimental. In game you need to set resolution to 1440 x900 21:9 frame cap off motion off v sync off borderless screen. On graphics I setup I changed to 100% the super resolution frame Gen off with fsr. Everything else is low. On steam deck side I turned on the scaling to fill. With this I ended up with around 29-36 fps even during early bosses. I have just 8 hours.

Thank you for the info. It's good to know all of this. Regarding the Memory Issues, I think if you increase the pagefile size or go to SteamOS 3.6 that should be fixed.

@@BusyGamingAndHardware I tryed that one too. The only way to delay it is to set the GPU to 1500. And even after that 2-3 hours of game play I need to restart the game.

I understand, I didn't have issues like that, but I also didn't play for more than 1h at a time. Either way the game is still quite buggy so I think the first few patches will iron out a lot of the issues (I hope).

So there is a guide that can enable dlss for the deck giving it better graphics with less pixel fsr effect it's looks way more better and it also runs better around 36-50 fps but locked to 40 it's smooth and can last 3 hours of playtime. I tried it by myself and it make a huge difference the game will be very good and playable BTW I finished the game on steam deck on the prolog and act 3 after turtle and in act 6 it was abysmal. But with the mod those problems are gone and I also don't have the issues with memory leak.

Nice one, thank you. I saw that video pop-up in my feed, but didn't watch it. I will also try it tonight. At the moment I am at the end of chapter 2 - played it mostly on the Deck and on PC (half - half). I've tried to play it on ROG Ally X, but at the moment I am still not very used with that handheld - I find it very clunky. I've played the Final Fantasy 16 demo - liked it a lot - will buy it - for me it works better than what the first reviews showed - I think the first patch for the demo improved the performance. On Rog Ally the performance is way better, but it has horrible stuttering.

@@BusyGamingAndHardware my problem with the ally x is the lack of buttons I setted up running drinking and spell buttons to the back. And specifically this is more problematic in games like cyberpunk and Bg3 where the steam deck mouse is just king. I wish I could buy a controller like the deck.

@@zoltanschweifer4304 for me ROG Ally X just doesn't feel good while playing and the screen (even though it has vrr) feels washed out. I've tried playing Cyberpunk and Elden Ring on it and it just doesn't click. I hope I will like it better in time. Also - so much stuttering and random crashes 😄

@@zoltanschweifer4304 :)) I have an Asus motherboard x670e-f for Zen 4 - it was a best buy according to reviewers at the moment. And guess what, when it arrived it had a missing pin so the board didn't run in dual channel (the missing pin was one of the pin dedicated for channel B). I was able to return it after a few months as initially I was pretty sure they won't get it back - I went through the retailer I bought it. They said, I broke the pin, but still they will change it. I kept thinking - how could I break a single pin on a smal CPU that has 1000+ pins - no other pin was broken or bent. The fact that they've changed it, got me thinking that probably this happens quite often. Also the board was super unstable (even after it got changed) - the DDR training took 40+ seconds (the system wouldn't boot if I've saved the memory context) and no matter the settings I've set, the system was always unstable. It only got fixed 4-5 months later after a few bios updates. Now everything is ok and I have no more problems. No reviewer pointed out how bad the bios was for this chipset in the beginning. It was a mess. So I will never buy a new chipset immediately after it gets released. It was very frustating to spend a couple thousands on a new System and have such a bad time with it initially.

@@BusyGamingAndHardware Yes it's dropping into the 10 and below even with your settings. Fsr tsr does not matter even frame Gen. After someone will suffer around 2 bosses and one hour of 10 fps it's start to getting better but it's barely hitting 30.

@@zoltanschweifer4304 ok, that sound very bad. Seems like they have some work to do on this game. Dropping so much usually happens when there is a bottleneck, either vram or cpu.

You can get it now. You can reach 30+ fps in nost situations when you use my Recommended settings. Also if you use Proton Experimental you can get around 10% more FPS. (Tested this after I've created the video) The prologue level seems a bit more demanding, but it is still playable. Do not use Frame Gen as that option is not working correctly on Steam Deck (for me it's very laggy). Of course the game will probably get better with time, but I do think it is playable and enjoyable on Steam Deck even now.
