Ally x lasts longer, but when it uses more power(21 vs 16) just to be similar to deck performance, that battery usage can get lower than shown, since it has less of a limit on power Also means deck with a bigger battery than oled, even at 60mah would out perform ally, with for example games like Jedi survivor at 6 watt tdp(using frame generation), since power usage is 10.7 watts, battery life is already higher than ally at 13watta(4.45 vs 3.9) With 60, it would be 5.5 hours

I fully agree. At the moment the biggest issue with Rog Ally X is actually the OS which is really not great if you set the TDP to 13W. Rog Ally X battery on Turbo without any FPS limit drains the battery in 2 hours or less. 25 W TDP translates to around 40-45 Wh for the whole system. (With the screen on Max). By the way the power usage is a bit different while docked (like in the video) - Seems Steam Deck consumes a bit more while docked.

Hi I am very very inexperienced to make guides . But I figured out a way to play games at 1080p full graphics and still able to use steam input. Both docked and on the go with Boosteroid. I tryed so many things unfortunately Gfn is trash on steam deck. It does not matter what you do its blurry when you dock it. All in all this is the best console experience specially with dualsense edge controller.

I will have to try it. Thank you for the idea. I've never tested Boosteroid. I am not a big fun of Streaming Games. GFN should look alright as long as you pay - the free tier not so much. I've only tested the free version once on Steam deck. A few years ago I've checked the paid subscription on my PC (was pretty cheap) and it was okish.

@@BusyGamingAndHardware So my idea was to not to install chrome I installed Microsoft edge. Whit that I could install boosteroid logged in and add to start menu and desktop. From there I added to steam. And forced it to run in 900 p on both screens . Then I changed the scaling to full and added on top fsr with 1 lvl. This will gives docked a perfect look on 55" 4k television. There is no blurry image . I think it scales somehow up to like 1440 p. At least the quality looks like the same VS 1440 p geforce now native TV app. But my problem with the TV app is that you cannot customize the controller and use steam imput.

The explanation makes quite a lot of sense actually. I didn't play too much in dock mode - I mostly use dock when recording videos. I also have quite a beefy PC that at the moment is more or less loosing its value and I use that when I want to play on my TV. What games are you playing now with this streaming app? Nevertheless I think it's a nice thing to check out and maybe create a guide for it. Ps: Sorry for not uploading as often as before lately, but I am quite busy at work (I have a release approaching soon - IT) - Will return to the normal upload schedule in a few weeks.

Wukong Elden-Ring Bg3 basically full graphics but I use most of the time wide screen mode. I just figured out how to make it not blurry. Because on the deck it always looked good. But as soon as I docked it it started to be blurry. And with the Gfn I had zero luck. But with boosteroid forced 900p scaled up it's perfect. It's better than any ps5.
