He'd leave through the dock bays and drive to Tacobell or Carls Jr. He would then leave the food in his car, making it look like he was returning from dropping trash off. Walking back through the shop floor, he'd clock out and go back to his car, acting like he got grubhub or his wife had just dropped his food off. Part of the reason I left retail, I had food ready so as soon as I clocked out I could sit and eat and make proper use of the time. I would be back on the floor and having to wait for some other rando employee who took their lunch before I did. Clown world.

I worked in a warehouse where the break room was on the other side of where I was. It was a huge place and it took me 5-10 minutes to walk there. My break didn't start until I reached the break room and I made sure of that!

Used to work at a huge Walmart in the produce department years back. When it’s time for lunch I’d take my vest off , then pick up my lunch plate from the deli/dunkin, then walk all the way in the back to clock out instead of using the time clock up front. That whole thing gave me an extra 15 mins for my break making that an hour and 15 min break for two years straight

I ve had a these co workers who would be doing the most during their lunch break. They disappear from about 12:00pm. Then come back at 1pm with a hot plate of food to eat at their desk. Then disappear again to take a nap or watching movies, then return at 2:00pm. Then then still clock in OT at the end of the day.

It also helps when you're one of the few reliable workers and you've been there a long time as well as the store not being able to keep people. The ball is always in your court. I took longer lunches all the time bc they couldn't afford to let me go. 😅

Let's say you go to lunch at 1pm and gottta clock back in at 2. You and 2 Co workers all go at the same time and wanna be slick by clocking out once you actually start eating which is let's say around 1:45pm . If you make 15 an hour that's $11.25 you just stole from the company by taking 45 minutes to grab lunch and actually clock out. Since there's 3 of you that's $33.75 all together. Now I'm pretty sure damn near every Walmart has at least 3 or 4 employees PER SHIFT who do this so imagine how much money they losin just from bum employees. Theres 9 walmarts here in vegas alone. I'm assuming theres at least 2 shifts in a work day, maybe 3 (morning shift, swing, and night stockers). Bruh thats like 600 dollars youre losing in ONE work day cause your employess dont think their lunch break is long enough. If that was your company bro you'd be pissed.

@@Tone_Locc_Walmart fiscal year Q2016 revenue: roughly 480 billion. Number of Wal mart stores: roughly 11700. 480 billion/365 days/11700 equals approximately 120K per store per day. Note that this assumes the number of stores is accurate and the sole source of revenue for Wal mart corporation. Yeah that 600 dollars a day really hurting.

@irawr4035 walmart stores lose tens of millions of dollars a year, and their annual losses nearly doubled in just the last five years. And they've shut down about 40 locations in the last year or so . Can't say there isn't a huge decline. And lazy employess dont help. Besides, the stats you pulled are from almost 10 years ago dude, Ten years ago I was 20 and able to pay rent with a fast food job that paid scraps. Things have changed drastically.
