Being a South African myself and currently residing here in South Africa i can resonate very well with your topic.I remember very well when i was 17 years old visiting Bethel in Johannesburg, this was of course during apartheid era,i was so shocked and disgusted to what i saw as a black youngster.Black brothers and sisters were doing labour intensive work while their white brothers and sisters were doing more administrative work. This and many other issues triggered cognitive dissonance in me,i just couldn't understand how could this be a true religion and how could Jehovah condone this immoral behaviour. Thanks so much man for such a wonderful video and hey welcome back, and please put more time on making new videos. This isn't enough, more hours chap lol.

I remember being troubled by an article about a white South African JW man explaining how it was hard for him to accept working with brothers and sisters that he grew up being told you don't let in black folks through the front door, that they had cups and utensils at home to give to black people if they asked for water or if they had to give them food. 🙂It was then I realized not only "worldly religions" were segregating "Christians" but JWs were in it too! 😞It was very demoralizing. Fast forward to now where the JW governing body is out in the open and watching them directly without having the info being regurgitated by their minions is very refreshing and cements my belief that Christianity in a whole was a tool used to suppress Africans and to date still is. ( I grew up believing these people were as close to God or God-like, I had never seen anyone claiming to have heavenly aspirations in the organization, no-one ever participated in the memorials I've been to, both in and out of my country.) Each video is cringe-worthy now, every thing that comes of their mouth sounds so man-made. If you visit my home country right now, you will be surprised at the number of one-man/woman churches that are cropping up everywhere. There are a ton of people in my country alone claiming to be prophets. As Christianity seems to be diminishing in the developed countries they've found a root in Africa. I lived out of country for 8yrs then I came back and started seeing so called "cart witnessing". A couple of places in the small town that I will see the same sisters with these carts full of Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society publications on display, almost every day, same spot. I never saw them actually proselytize but doing lots of crocheting. 😀 I went back in memory to my own times when I went out in the ministry, knocking on doors, trying to start bible studies while under ban, attending meetings in little dark rooms, rather silently and secretively, the few times we'll get a brother from Bethel from neighbouring country to even know there were others "like us"😀 I felt very sad looking at them wasting their time away. And now we live in South East Asia, not a whole lot of witnesses/or Christians for that matter. May be I will learn something new here, they're not Christians but they seem to fare so much better at explaining the human condition and death is not the end, just the end of one journey and a beginning of another. There is one thing that I will forever thank JWs for, they have showed me how devious men can be. That there is truly some very evil humans who will do and say anything to control other humans without any respect or regard to their humanity, that they are ready to throw other humans but themselves into the fire, and all the while claim to be God's Faithful and Discreet Servant, I thank them for that. I will never be deceived like that again, never. And I want to say I can forgive and forget what JWs lies have made me do and behave and how they completely shattered my life-I'm still fixing myself-I was disfellowshipped in 1998 at age 25 and now 48yrs - I don't think I have it in me to forgive, not when they're still spewing lies, not when there's people I can't talk to, not when I have an incredibly weird relationship with my JW parents. It is probably going to be the hardest thing I will ever do, when I do. I just need time, every time I think I have healed I'm realizing that I've not. Was on the phone with my mother the other day, she told me one of the elders (she said 'your friend....') is very sick, she hinted maybe I need to call him, can't bring myself to. He was on the judicial committee that "kicked' me out of the organization, the other man died a while ago, another was a missionary, I don't know where he is nowadays, probably proselytizing somewhere. I don't know how to explain this, these men were like family to me. I looked up to them and they were grooming me to become one of them. 🙂So I've worked with them very closely both in front and behind the scenes at kingdom halls, conventions, etc. On one side there's the love on another human being, I would rather he wasn't sick and he was enjoying life with his family - on the other I see now he's part of something that I've come to abhor. I am sorry @Xola Matanzima, I just had to get a few things off my chest I guess.

Hi, I am a 56 year old white woman who left the organization about 20 years ago. I've always wondered in the back of my head did I do the right thing. Is the organization really true? Am I going to be destroyed at Armageddon? Always wondered if I made the right decision. After watching this video I know now for sure I made the correct decision because even before you mentioned Christ coming in 1919 and selecting them as the True Religion I was thinking that as well when you were talking about the articles about black people. I am so happy that I ran across this video and I thank you so much for bringing this information out. Now I know for sure that I absolutely did the correct thing!! Bless you and with agape love stay safe and happy. PS; I found your video while watching mentally diseased, I just thought I would give him credit because he directed me to your video.

Enjoyed your video.I am from South Africa.I became a JW's in 1969 In that time we were not allowed to mix .I did however find at assemblies we could enjoy lunch together. My wife and i would visit coloured brothers they were so humble even our black brothers they made the truth their own.Our congregation was white some rich but majority poor there were clicks poor mix with poor rich with rich.I never found love amongst the brothers was all about hours.Very little visits unless you were in a click.I left after 1975 and Malawi/ Mexican double standards that lead to loss of life in Malawi. To day we know it is a cult. However black and coloured people are more sincere and dedicated to there churches .I agree no black people should become a JW for that matter nobody should as it destroys lives has a very high rate of suicides throughout the world

@@Mintjulep3 “give in?” They are not actively supporting the law, they remain neutral and still worship. The churches ( not just JWs) in the south were one of the last institutions to integrate. George Wallace’s aunt was an active JW, and issues arose regarding JWs being misidentified as ‘freedom riders.’ Communication was needed to prevent issues that would affect their worship. So if there were any issues, black circuit overseers were sent to the south. Sam Herd’s first circuit assignment was in Watts in 1965. This was shortly after the Watts riots. The society stopped sending white circuit overseers to that area given the racial tension. Careful, as you don’t want to delve into anachronism when discussing these matters.

I know so many people (of color, specifically) who generally are more politically liberal, and represent their activism with something in their social media bios about being anti-colonial, or decolonizing the BIPOC experience... directly followed by "servant of Christ." 🙏🏾 it's good for me to hear perspectives from others who have been there and have further emancipated their minds, Because I hesitate to be the one to point out that Christianity (or all monotheism really) seems to be the most deeply embedded, and least challenged vestige of European colonialism, and forced indoctrination in slavery. My personal experience is Italian Catholicism. I'm aware enough to realize there's probably many more complex cultural factors keeping folks with different backgrounds more firmly attached or dependent on our inherited superstitious dogma than I was as a kid. But the intense defensive arrogance of devout believers who boast that they have not had a single doubt about the hollow promises of infinite reward for life-long obedience after death... it's just tragic to witness. Makes me want to help bring attention to the risks of the mistakes I see people making. But the most can do usually is ask them questions. Sometimes people aren't even open to that, if you aren't already part of their in-group.

Actually, it’s Revelation 1:14-17 which says his feet were like fine copper, but it also said his hair was as white as wool, as snow and his eyes were a fiery flame. Obviously this is not literal. Everybody on here hung up on what Jesus looked like. He was Jewish, and would’ve looks like someone from the Middle East. Some people from the Middle East are dark skinned and others white. Does it really matter? Or, is it more important to focus on what Jesus taught while he was on earth and see if we’re following the instructions he gave us?

I clicked on this right away. Coincidentally enough, a couple of JW came by our house a couple of days ago. Mind you I am Black, proudly so, beautiful dark-skinned African woman who lives in a quiet, mostly White beautiful neighborhood with my husband and kids. I open the door and I can see the shock on their faces. The woman immediately comments on how beautiful my accent was. She asks and I let her know where I am from. She was quite intrigued (which nothing is wrong with that) and said maybe she can drop by again sometime. I’m not interested in converting to be JW but I’ve been thinking since then how do they actually view us Black people? So I’m glad to get answers to my questions in this video.

This religion does not treat people equally and the history is shocking.

It sure surprises us, as we were willing to believe what we were told and never considered what we would find if we looked back in to the older issues. To be honest, I worked my butt off in Brooklyn Bethel in 76-78 and among my roommates were one black, two mexicans and two whites. We didn't worry about such things but were delighted to be brothers. Attended the weddings of a few of them, but have long lost track of all them as I've been out since '83. Studying since, it's clear to me the society has had serious issues with doctrines, dogma and even the legitimacy of their "translation." I won't waste your time laying out their flip flopping doctrines, but some how past (and current, it still goes on) rascism by the sect was passed off to us as subjects about which "the light has gotten clearer." When they get it wrong, switch back and forth with no-blood (the yes-blood is the fractions are now o.k.) - well, it just adds up. They are making it up as they go along. They do not refrain from numerology, they do not refrain from mediums and they do not refrain from the removal of the congregations kingdom halls (so they own them, after they are built by the congregation labor, and then they sell them, so that is theft and theft by deception and doing it on purpose over and over, well, that is lying and fraud for money.

Very valid points indeed, the ambiguities and deceit of the Anglo-Saxon with his superior arrogance go back centuries, ask any Welshman, Scotsman, or Irishman and they will write you a book on the teapots!................😂😂😂 The arrogance of the Anglo-Saxon is described in Daniel 8:23 when it talks about the 'King of Fierce Countenance' who comes to understand 'Ambiguous sayings', and nothing but deceit comes out of his mouth, but without human hand will he be broken, this, of course, refers to the Anglo-American world power, it is a very interesting chapter of the Book of Daniel. The divisions within mankind have been set by Jehovah when he confused the languages and divided mankind to slow down the unity of men, and we have lived with that for thousands of years, with the slaughter of nation against nation. Anyway, I am a proud Welsman who sleeps soundly at night glad in the fact that he is not an Englishman.............😂

This video was powerful and should be viral sending to everyone in JW-org so they can understand the history and the meaning behind these decisions and writings. Sadly, just like most of those in any cult, Mormon, JW's, Happy Science, Seventh-Day Adventists, ICOC, etc. excuses will be made, soft explanations will be provided or ears will be turned off because they "don't want to argue", ask for tolerance or claim only God can judge. However..... ... Christians are told in the Bible to separate themselves from the sinful practices of man and to expose error. “Examine all things and to hold fast to that which is true,” says God’s word (1 Thess. 5:21) What does it mean to _examine_ if we do not judge what is right and wrong? Jesus judged the Pharisees as hypocrites. Peter judged Ananias and Saphira as liars (Acts 5:3-4). Paul judged the Galatians as fools (Gal. 3:1). The reason something can be said to be right or wrong is that the Bible has laid out before us a moral and doctrinal standard that is clear. It is wrong to lie. So, we are able to say to someone who lies, “What you are doing is wrong.” That is making a judgment. Likewise, with the cults, as Christians, we are commanded to be able to give answers to everyone (1 Pet. 3:15) and to contend for the faith that was delivered by the apostles (Jude 4). If we do not fight for the faith, the faith will be lost. If we do not expose the errors of the cults, homosexuality, secular humanism, evolution, Islam, Roman Catholicism, then the false teachings will move unchecked in the world and lead even more into eternal destruction. To make a judgment means that we must recognize that there are absolutes... absolutes are not welcome by the cults and false religions that promote their false doctrines begging for tolerance; *they don’t want to be examined.*

Christianity has its own history as well which has its roots dug deeply into slavery and racism so I don’t think it’s wise to condemn one religion while praising another. Their is still racism in the organization today. Black men never really have a chance to become an elders unless they are in a predominately black congregation or all black congregation. Many black elders told me their stories of not being appointed until after they left predominately white or mixed congregations and went to predominately black or all black congregations. Why should it matter what congregation you attend if you are qualified?.It shouldn't. I have experienced racism myself where I was qualified to be appointed and never was because of being in mixed congregations. It was so bad members of the congregation would come up to me and ask why l haven't been appointed an elder. Anyway, glad I don't have to deal with the nonsense anymore, wish I had woken up completely years ago as I sensed something wasn't quite right and never fit into the fakeness of the organization as a whole. Btw, l notice most of the men who leave start growing a beard lol. I've got mine too! 🧔🏾

@Adair Morgan Well I'm in a congregation that is mixed but has more white people than other races and our elder body is almost all black brothers, a couple Mexican brothers, a Portuguese brother, a brother from Nigeria (Yes, he's black too) and a white brother, and that's with 23 elders. We even have a couple of wealthy, white brothers who have been ministerial servants for years but still are not elders. You can't tell me there is bias throughout the organization, because it's not true. Are there imperfect people among Jehovah's organization? Of course, everyone is imperfect. Are there still things that happen that shouldn't? Of course, because it's an organization made up of imperfect people. However, I've seen the bias, politics and money grabbing in other religions and it doesn't even compare. Jehovah's Witnesses, while not perfect, are still miles ahead of the rest of the religions in the world, and that's because we have the truth, we have genuine lover for one another and we have Jehovah's support. If there are problems, in time, all things get straightened out. Anyone who thinks God's people should not make mistakes and if an organization has any problems, they must not be the one, has not read the Bible. The Bible is full of the history of people who made mistakes, disobeyed Jehovah, treated others unfairly, were prejudice (Like the Apostle Peter and how he had to be corrected by Jehovah to see that it was not just the Israelites who were acceptable to God, but anyone who does His will.), etc. Eventually, those who are wrong in their way of thinking either get adjusted or end up leaving Jehovah's organization.

"How could a loving all-powerful God allow for people leading a religion to be so disgusting to another group of human beings, doesn't make sense." I totally agree with this statement, which is why I don't believe Christianity in general, no matter what sect or denomination (JW, Baptist, Pentacostal, non-denom., etc.) should be followed. Any religion that adheres to the Bible, especially the old testament is not a religion anyone should adhere to, especially blacks & racial minority groups. There's so many disgusting things in the old testament and it's not just "this was how people were in that time period, this was the culture," no, this was "supposedly" God's word that called for his people to abuse and mistreat other groups of people.
