This looks awesome and I'm glad I found it as I have just bought one and planned to do the same weathering...but tempted to try a different colour.

Did you finish your diorama? I just built a black series scale Rey speeder out of a scrap of 2x6 I found on a job site.... plan on doing a diorama

Yes, it's a long video, but you can forward to the end lol kzitem.info/news/bejne/uKGprYmmqomKhWk

Didn't even know this was around. So thanks, just for that. Stuff in the net should have some rusty parts, no? In fact, I could imagine you making a second one of these seriously distressed.

Yes, for sure you could. I wanted to have more of a contrast and felt the junk pieces would have blended in with the weathered vehicle to much. I find new items all the time... Just found they make a life size stormtrooper baton from black series that was 200 retail and now is only 47.00 at my local gamestop lol

This model screams to be touched up. The pictures on the back of the box have more detail ( unless its the lighting) than what they give you out of the box.

Most do need a little help, but black series still does a good job. I'm actually going to be selling this one at some point, decided to go with a life size bb8 so this diorama will need to go.

Thanks a lot for the video! Just bought the speeder and was looking for a finishing tutorial a clueless guy like me could reproduce :D The results are amazing considering you only have to use two colors to give it a nice vivid look.

Thanks for the comment 😁 I'm totally clueless to all this stuff, but that's what makes it fun! It really is easy once you start. If I can do it, anyone can.

I did a mod on a pof xwing , kinda a long video, but I do some weathering about 6 minutes in. I've since started using tempera paint for my wash jobs, but regular black wash works ok. kzitem.info/news/bejne/loawy4F9rJaLmZg

@@lock577 no problem 😀 that's why I make the videos, I'm not a expert on anything, but I like to share how easy things can be. If I can do it, anyone can lol here is another link for my slave 1 .... a long video and I'm a little messy, but it's almost a mistake free way for starters. Tempera paint in most cases can be wiped off if you don't like how the project is going. If you want it permanent, just use a clear coat spray paint to lock it in, just spray lightly as too much spray will activate your wash and it would remove the wash. kzitem.info/news/bejne/yYt816yLrX-on34
