What a beautiful looking apple love to taste. I was eating one of my Braeburn as you were eating yours and found the same with taste, sweet and acidic fairly juicy. Well done on all your apple growing. I have 60 varieties in Ireland

I would be interested in Scion wood for these. I already have otterson and giant Russian red fleshed crabapple. Those are more for cider than eating though. Another one that sounds interesting is the black diamond apple from Tibet.

Was this a Stephen Edholm (Skillcult) apple? If it is, its pretty cool to see that he created an improved red fleshed apple. Wish I could get that variety but im in Canada

Beautiful apple, I enjoy the acidic flavors more than the super sweets. That looks like it would make a beautiful applesauce.

Those look delicious. I might be waiting a while, but I can't wait until mine starts fruiting. I'm new to your channel and don't know if you've stated it before, but what zone are you growing in?
@nickkasko2097

Zone 8 but zone alone is not enough info. I’m in NW WA and my zone 8 is very different from zone 8 of eastern states. Zone only tells you the lowest winter lows. Doesn’t indicate how much summer heat you get. My summer high temps rarely exceed 85 deg F. Very mild

Which is your favorite Redlove? Besides the color, do they also have a similar berry flavor, compared to Black Strawberry, or less?
@nickkasko2097

They both have their pros and cons. I think redlove is more cranberry flavor and this one is more strawberry flavor

When I was studying in Guelph, there was an apple variety called Russet. It looked like a rusty Golden and tasted like apples and grapes together. I miss it immensely since I have never seen it again. Even my siblings in Toronto have never heard of it.
