I would love be in that crowd. Just amazing to see Eddie´s evolution. From the crazy singer jumping from top of stages (which wasn´t bad at all) to making people get so emotional with a cover of the Beatles, and letting them interact with him. He´s a great example of getting older properly, never lose his intensity just made it different but keep it powerfull.

One of, if not my favourite Beatles song. Never thought someone could match McCartney, but this almost has a more emotional feel than the original for me. Love it

McLean90 My husband and I just had a convo about this. He thinks McCartney may have intentionally understated his vocals on some of his more lyrically powerful songs to allow the lyrics to shine through. It’s a thought. But I absolutely love EV’s performance of this song.

Ten or so years ago, I was dating a girl who lived in Seattle while I lived in Portland. I went to stay at her place for a weekend and one morning while walking to get coffee she tells me, "I heard eddie vedder is at this shop pretty often, but I've never seen him here". As soon as we walked in, there he was. I didn't want to be a bother, so I played it cool, but I wanted to say "thanks" while I had the chance. I didn't ask for a picture. I didn't fan out on him. I just said "sorry to be a bother, but I'd kick myself in the ass for the rest of my life, if I don't say, 'thanks for the music', it's meant a lot to me". He proceeded to instigate some simple conversation. Not wanting him to feel obligated to talk to me, I just said "I should get going, but it was genuinely nice to meet you". Shook his hand and walked away. I left with the sense that he probably would have talked all day, but proud of the fact that I went out of the way to not ruin his spot. Everything about our incredibly simple interaction was warm. So, I can say that (for me), he's exactly who you'd think he is.

Can anyone confirm this was from the Warner Theater in DC? It looks like the same duds he was wearing that night. That was one of the best shows my wife and I have ever attended, and I'll never forget the look on his face when the entire theater was chirping back at him...the vid doesn't do a good job of translating how loud that actually was. It was plain then how proud he was, but nice to see his reaction a little closer up. Good times.
