I can never find any of the old tapes. There used to be an archive of these old tapes, Blackfoot women, they would have these long conversations in Blackfoot and we used to have to sit in Kevin's middleschool classroom and try and interpret the shit. He just sat there and played the tapes or had us copy the words from the whiteboard. All Blackfeet, no English. We got our foreheads thumped or hands hit with a yardstick for speaking English. Now, 30 years later, all grown up, I don't understand anything anyone says!
