At this point in time 40 plus years of Wasp you gotta tip your hat to Blackie. He's showing humility in his elder State. He understands fans. My older brother was a Huge wasp fan and when he brought home that first album, I was blown away. That first album was a Gem! Glad to see he's still out there doin his thing.

Great interview always enjoy listening to Blackie. Looking forward to new album and book whenever that may be. Miss the days when a new W.A.S.P. album was every 3 years. I know Blackie likes to take his time but 9 years is way too long

Mike's question about me was completely incorrect, most people ask questions pulled out of twisted rumors and gossip, so, they're not even asking factual questions. I never created Blackie's name, that's patently ridiculous 🙄 🤦♂️. What I created / suggested was the band name WASP, while we were still called Sister in March of 1982 while I was living at his house. After the next rehearsal, is when Lawless announced the new band name, resulting in the four of us becoming equal co-founders of the new band called WASP. Blackie added the periods after he surprisingly and suddenly discharged me. Chris Holmes validated that. Randy Piper validated my creating the band's name. So, in Blackie's words about truth and facts, that applies to his 'truth' vs the actual 'facts'. It's too late to go back and re-interview him on the factual truth, which he'll cleverly dance around and sidestep. He'll never admit it. Now, all things being equal, I'll gladly do an interview with you and explain the real actual story of the creation of WASP. If you're up to it, be the man and reach out. I'll reply.

@rikfox8812
10 күн бұрын
@dirtybeard70_Alivein85 The only recording we did as Sister/WASP was the six song demo that I recorded on, all of those songs are on KZitem, uploaded by 'Leather Rebel'. There were earlier songs that Blackie sent me on a cassette, before I left New Jersey to audition for Blackie's band, songs like Harley Heart, Silver Rain, Don't Know Who I Am, Sex Drive and a few others. That tape 'mysteriously disappeared' from my collection.

I will go straight to point .Its Chrises truth vs Blackies truth i think the truth fall in the middle .Talking about him being approachable i have heard both no and yes .I have read and heard maaany interviews and never heard him praising his current members like he did in this interview. So big kudos to him for thst . Big thumbs down is him not appreciated enough what orginal members have done .He don't have be friends with them ,but appreciate their parts of the W.a.s.p history. I wish sometimes he could show alittle bit selv criticism .I can't imagine he always was easy to work with ,dont take it wrong i am sure every members have had their things aswell On a positive note i love Blackie lyrics they have really helped me alot and is so grateful for that . I really love with ages Blackie shows more humility. Love Blackie and rest of W.a.s.p members past and current.❤️

Much as I love WASP, and think Blackie is amazing, he does spout a load of b.s. about what’s coming up on upcoming tours. Like the last one with the extremely disappointing circus drapes and none of the excitement and spectacle he was promising. So I’ll be going for the music, hoping the backing tapes are kept to a minimum, and that his back holds up properly for a european tour next year 😎

It was a great tour all the other stuff is just a bonus don't really matter tho. Ya it wud b cool to see theatre n what not but the music is wut matters n wasp not being here in the u.s. 15 years I cud care less about the stage show the songs is wut matters. N I think people over exaggerate the backing tracks he's still singing but there's background effects I think it's better that way n is more enjoyable. It's not like Paul Stanley who straight up lip sings

And if you listen to what Chris has said he's a much better guitarist than he was allowed to be on the albums. He said Blackie was constantly holding him back. He didn't get to let loose properly until The Headless Children album. Somebody who was Eddie Van Halen's best friend & guitar playing buddy was bound to have decent chops just from playing with Eddie.

Blackie is unbelievable talking about working with world-class musicians while dissing Chris. Crimson Idol is Blackie best solo album outside of WASP, but it doesn't come close to Helldorado, which #Imo was WASP worse album. Blackie is given, and takes far too much credit for living off Chris influence on WASP, as those classic albums speak for themselves! At best Blackie solo career is above average, compared to greatness WASP once was, and that is just fact 🤘 #MeanMan 🤘

I hope not. I don't care as much about a stage show as I do the music. Do full songs, played well. I enjoy WASP's theatrics, but the songs rule and are what has kept me as a fan since the beginning.
