A weird thing that I’ve experienced multiple times as a monoracial black LS women is when I am talking in a group conversation and someone will randomly ask me if I am mixed or fully black and people usually blk females will be like “SHES BLACK, FULLY BLACK SHE DOESN’T EVEN LOOK MIXED ITS OBVIOUS” before I can even answer the question as if they’re offended someone would think I am mixed and the other half will be genuinely confused and be like “oh you’re not mixed, I didn’t know you were fully black”

I stopped answering the question. I'm not even light. I'm medium brown but I've got this question so many times it's ridiculous. I will hit them with a blank stare or completely ignore the question about my background. It's like, why are so desperate to know in the first place? Why do you care? And they will pick a problem with any answer you give. 🤷🏾♀️

I’m a light skinned Black woman with Creole, British, and Irish ancestry and 3c/4A hair. I’ve always been mistaken for mixed or Dominican. I used to get so angry when UABW would always have some “issue” with me, they always said I thought I was cute. And I’m like “yeah, shouldn’t every woman?” Now don’t care anymore. Put on a cape and be super-mad! It’s exhausting being in a one-sided competition with a woman and she’s mad because you’re beating her. Thank you for making this channel. But... you are not black with that ancestry. You are mixed. Those genes ARE a part of your DNA, and it is quite fine to say you are not fully black. Honour ALL your ancestors. Then she started to say east Africans were not black and we shouldn't try talking about hair care lol that's when I dropped her. On this channel i first learnt the deeper meaning of decentering men, and ways to beautify myself AKA cultivating my beauty hobbies! as an African-mozambican, this is one of the biggest reason black Americans have issues with Africans overall. they see us as inferior (those of us who aren't mixed/100℅african) because of the internal self hatred/colourism. And yet, we don't act inferior and we possess genuine confidence and that infuriates anyone who has a low pre-determined view of a certain group, I.e Africans. A great example is how they treated Tyla for standing on her truth!

"It's not the fact that we have You tube channels, It's the message that is threatening" You've hit it in the head with that statement and the whole purpose of this wonderful channel. I believe there will be no understanding of exoticals/MLS topics & issues, if you and the other exotical channels didn't highlight them, to UMBW/UMBM. And that unconscious or conscious poisonous behaviour, feelings and thought patterns, will continue to plague the black/exoticals community. I dont see the U.S. culture getting any better and especially not the black community. I already know I’m not getting with a UABW (my preference) so I may well work remote and 3x 4x my income overseas and have a sense of non-trauma based community. About the pro black thing... so I have never been to the pro black spaces on KZitem but recently someone told me what it was about and I was very embarrassed I just thought that "pro black" means proud to be black. That's it. Like I don't exclude or pedestalize any other group . That's really annoying how they make it extreme & corny. It could've been a great thing Yeah I was embarassed. But many communities online are embarasssing. Omg especially bwe! It's just a hot mess. It's sad cause bwe could've been such a beautiful concept but ppl made it so...odd and I talk about it a lot on my channel. Especially divestors🥴🥴🥴the femcels took over what could've been a great concept "bw empowerment" I was never ever heavily online until I made my KZitem channel so I'm still learning spaces.. like I didn't know what redpill or manosphere was either when I was new. 😂 I just recently learned and that's another one that I Am embarassed over because ppl would ask me questions about them & I use to say it was a cool space .. (cause I didn't know what it was about until now😂😂😂) na those guys are so corny. They're incels Femcels & incels ruin & make all good things odd I'm more of a traditional girly and I can't stand that now that thinking process is associated with these redpill w1erdos. Embarassing . Any logical talking points are usually associated with those redp1ll lames now ugh. I wanted to do a video about them. I don't like them. (Sorry thx for listening to my rant) Real life is very different from online. Ppl online r crazy 😂

Also. I think you run your exotical space very well.. it's actually empowering And by the way.. I find your community to definitely be the most relatable. All of your topics are relatable to me . I can relate to being "othered" because of my long hair texture and my keen features. (I have Asian eyes phenotype similar to nia long ) & even tho I was darker skinned (in my opinion cause sometimes ppl thought I wasn't) - , all of my life ppl would ask me if I was like a blasian phenotype or just mixed in general . I remember blk kids running up to me and always being fascinated with what I could be mixed with. Or at bars or Ubers ppl just would not accept that I am FBA black 😂 I've never took that ancestry dna test to find out but idc..my parents raised me to be cool with my blk ness But one time my mom made a joke and said I look blk & ch1nese😂 everyone tells me that I can't relate to bwe spaces at all. I've always been the pretty picked girl. I've never been overlooked or rejected for a ww or mixed or something like that. They're always complaining about that. I've had a very pretty privileged life where guys heavily pedestalized me. So that's another reason I'm on your channel. Your thinking process is similar to mine.. I have a positive mindset
