I think the load equalizing resistor is causing your bulb out issue. The CAN-BUS is looking for low resistance led's. The resistor is there for upgrading the base halogen's and need the it to read the proper load. I'd just shunt around it for a quick test, before removing it completely.

It looks amazing and man thats super easy to replace! One screw! Also please compare the Nitto 37s muds vs 38s hybrids I want to lift my diesel rubicon and i still dont know whats the best, everyone says something else
@wayalife
2 жыл бұрын
Yup, just one screw. That's it :) Regarding a comparison video, that's a tough one if only because there really is no comparison. First off, ride quality is 100% subjective. Second, not all coilover kits are made the same. Third, coilovers are not only a lot more expensive, they require regular maintenance making them even more expensive. But, if you have a good kit and everything is dialed in, they are far superior to a standard coil and shock in terms of performance, comfort and flex. As far as tires go, the Ridge Grapplers were never intended to compete against the Trail Grapplers. Them being a hybrid allows them to feel more comfortable, offer better MPG and still do well out on the trail. MT's will be tougher and hook up better offroad but they will yield less MPG and will be louder and firmer in feel.
@Sam1986E

Blacked out tail lights look best on White jeeps IMO. No info on there site so an email has been sent about a future product for the JT. You mentioned the resistors but will a taser fix this as well? Great video as always hope to see you both out on the trail one day. 🇺🇸

Tried the Tazer and it didn't fix it. I think I need to remove the resistors and then try again using the Tazer instructions for aftermarket LED lights.

I know when I replaced my front fenders they recommended to put in a resistor on one of the extra wires they include to let the computer recognize that there is a light there. Maybe the tail light is the same deal? Just an idea

These lights come with the resistors and that is most likely, part of the problem. I have LEDs from the factory.

Awesome video.. how would you rathe the quality? I’m always nervous about buying after market lights as there always seems to be issues with them.

So, I would say that the overall quality isn't too bad. The plastic housing isn't as durable feeling as factory though. Otherwise, the wiring, lens and actual lights look pretty good.

Good stuff as always. Do you think these are as bright as the OEM lights?
@wayalife

Not really. They're bright enough though and I don't have any problems with them at night but in the daylight, they seem a little dim.

Another nicely explained mod. All of your vids are very easy to follow, which I appreciate! And the gratuitous doggie footage at the end is just a bonus. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these! PS: Your dog has brain damage.

Maybe you want one! I watched Eddie’s videos long before I owned one!

I watched Eddie and Cindy's videos for years before I could finally get a Jeep. I leased my Sport and when the lease ended last month I decided to keep it. It's already somewhat modded to my taste so why start over. 🙂

Does the lane assist sensor still function?

We did not have the sensors in our factory lights and these do not have them either. You probably need to get new lights that specifically have them.

Lights look great! Sucks they give the error message though. If you don't want to keep them I'll give you my address. My non-LED Gladiator would like them! I really like the Oracle tail lights that don't stick out like the factory style! And Ripley really is the cutest!

LOL - I think it's just the resistor. I plan on nixing them to see. Glad you enjoy seeing Ripley :)

Ok i see there was a plate with the new one , what did you do with it ? 2nd i went on amazon it says 2nd generation and regular one , what is the difference ?
@wayalife
2 жыл бұрын
The plate was to let you mount the resistor somewhere on your Jeep. I just zip tied the wires so that the resistor hangs below the light housing. Not so that it can swing around but so that it didn't need to be mounted. Not sure what the differences are.

How’s the brightness on the reverse light? Any issues?

Definitely not as bright as factory LED tail lights but not too bad.
