I purchased a blackstar I'd core 10 v2 from musicians friend and I have to say its absolutely the best amp I've ever owned it does everything and the wide stereo sound you get from it makes you just fall into to playing for hours on end it sounds so good it inspires you to play better it's crazy to explain I havnt had a chance to connect it to my laptop yet my wife's going to help me with that process I'm not much of a pc person so to speak ,but yes the blackstar I'd core 10 v2 is really the absolute best little practice amp I've even owned for sure theres endless possibilities of tones and patches you can make with when I save more money I'm going to purchase the 40 watt model I just love the sound and you right I order to really get the stereo effect if these amps you have to try one ,when you do I promise you will get lost in it and it will inspire you to play better and you just cant stop,I recommended these amps to anyone

I've got a 10v2 in white.... I've had it for a couple of years, it's usually the one I turn on first. I've used it as a speaker syrup for my laptop (via USB) and I've used it with my Rockman X100 (via the aux input). When I travel, it is my grab and go amp. I love it! Thinking about getting a 20 or 40 with more power and larger speakers, just so I can crank it up some more. Cheers.

I have the 100, and the 40. The 40 is the V3. Love them both. My only issue, is some people have complained about hissing. Now, the new ones have an adjustable noise gate, which you can tweak, to find your sweet spot. The 100, just has the off, low or high. It works, however it does cut sustain abruptly. For that one, I turn off the gate, and add my own if I need it. Of course, backing off the gain usually helps with hissing anyways.

What if they get rid of the effects from the amps, and use that space for more control on the amp sounds, like cabinet type, 3-band EQ and leave the effects for the pedals? I'd like to see more these kinds of low-wattage amps, and less everything-in-the-box-in-basic-level.

There are many amps that does just that. Much more in fact to those id cores. Id core is different in that sense cuz of its flexibility. I actually think that this amp line transforms ur guitar in something more than it originally is. Gives much more Space to experiment and create something unique while also being simple at the core.

I own an original version (V1) ID Core stereo 40 which I bought used for $100 USD a few years ago at my local Music-Go-Round. I don't really need the newer features for recording or streaming .I can use the new software with my amp as well. a year after the amp I bought a Starcaster Strat electric guitar By: Fender (said that on the head stock) the guitar got a total extreme upgrade/mod with custom stars and planets space theme paint on the body and head stock the Hand made extended Brushed Stainless Steel Pick Guard loaded with 3 quad rail/coil humbuckers retaining the Fender 5-way blade selector switch and I wired it like a 50's les Paul with coil splits and a P/P also in the bridge tone pot to activate the bridge and neck pick ups togehter regardless of any other controls. the bridge gor new roller saddles and a solid brass full size trem block the head stock is graced with a titanium nut, roller string tree and locking tuners. all together I have a cool looking guitar that feels, plays and sounds out of this world. those humbuckers have 4 small coils with very strong ceramic magnets between, measure at an average of 18,6k ohms each and even coil split are essentially still humbuckers but sound like single coils. as I wired them to have the active coils closer to the bridge to get a brighter tone when coil split yees the Les Paul style wiring means that it has 3 each tone and volume pots. the tome caps are .047 orange drop type and I reduced the wire size since you don't really need the large size wired traditionally used. pickups only produce mere millivolts so much smaller gage wires will do the job. I stripped a computer VGA cable for the small stranded wires in multiple colors. saves space in the control cavity even though I extended it 6 pots and the 5-way switch take a lot of room add a 9v batt. .for the LED indicators for coil in circuit and the wires for that circuit as well. soldering all those connections was a real adventure... This extreme guitar that I named the "Stellarcaster" is just out of this world. ... Wanna Play???

I had and performed with the V2 100w and it was great! for the 40w I think the speakers are FRFR and not guitar speakers, so a condencer might had given us more idea of the actual sound, while the SM57 colors it too much since it's made for guitar speakers..

Just seeing your guitar head stock smashed me back to when I owned it.... I have an ESP (The Mirage) lawsuit that I'm keeping now, the blonde with seymour duncans also 1987 I think, Jackson won the lawsuit through the headstock shape issue but this is one tht survived as they are neck throughs they couldn't just unbolt them so they all got destroyed.
