Hi Cam, love your videos! Thank you. I think it's important to explain that bowties are stronger when made with horizontal grain. Grain should not be perpendicular to the bowtie, it will crack easily.

I've had the jig since it came out and love it, but I have a recommendation. Make a series of 3 jig plates where all the bowties are the same size. That way I can cut a series of bowties that are the same size without having to move the jig.

Does the bowtie jig help with improving my bicep vascularity to be more like yours? If so, I'll take 2, one for each bicep. All seriousness... great video and very helpful!

Hey Cam, I have your jig, and can't wait to use it. My question, though, what are the calipers you are using? I love the fact they display fractions!

Great video. I was wondering if you ever put a dovetail in and sand it flush and smooth and then a few days later you can feel the edges of the dovetail?

I really love your bow tie jig! BUT….it would be so much more efficient and useful if it have multiple cutouts for the same size bow tie! I just used it to make a bunch of bow ties for a really great looking live edge table….but doing these one….at….a….time….takes forever. Wish you would offer a larger template with multiple cutouts.

I think it’s funny how in some of your videos you state how you’re pushing 40 years old, and how it’s difficult for you as a one-man shop to move your builds around. But all I could see this entire video was how ripped you are. Btw great work and great clear video.

Hey Cam, we find the plastic snap on lidded boxes from Indian restaurant takeaways are great for keeping sanding dust…and when you open them you get a smell of spices and wood. Win win

This is a fantastic jig, and rockler ships to Hungary! The only problem is that the shipping is more expensive than the starter set. :( As a hobbyst this is too much for me. The only way for me is to make a bleuprint from scratch and find a turner to make one for me.

You should make a jig to make chess or checker boards. Walnut with black epoxy and a Rubio finish. You could use either inlays or epoxy. If you do not have that jig are there companies to will do polycarbonate or lexan on a cnc machine?

Would it be advisable to set my depth too deep ( I know, keep with me) and then slice the Bow Tie so you end up with a couple of Bow Ties per one template? (Cut 1 inch into wood, then when sliced free of board could be sliced twice so you have two 1/2 inch Bow Ties ready to be used from the 1 inch Bow Tie original cut).
