The Fish Owl (Bubo blakistoni) is one of the rarest and most unusual owls in the South Kuril Islands. This young fish owl is over two months old. He flies decently, but does not know how to fish yet. An eagle owl is waiting for the arrival of parents with food.
It is surrounded by the mysterious world of the forests of the Kurilskiy reserve, where there is a place for the Kuril brown bear, fearless foxes, and the vocal wren (Troglodytes troglodytes fumigatus) and the Japanese subspecies of the great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major japonicus).
