Awesome video! I am planning on going up in June and have been trying to find a mine to dig myself. Thanks for all the info!

A very good video that shows the actual experience. If you find one good cutter, it pays for the trip. You don't always hit the jackpot, but you have a fair chance of finding a fabulous stone. I've seen several. Also he removes tons of overburden. Big, big difference.

Thank you for the kind comment and sharing your experience. The stones are pretty fantastic, aren't they? I expect the 25 cutters back any day now and can't wait.

What was the turn around time for getting stones cut? What a wonderful video by the way! I can’t wait to finally make to trip from California. It’s been on my bucket list for years.

How much did they charge you to cut the stones?

There is a price break after I think 10 stones. All totaled, the average was around $14 per. I know there was an upcharge for that largest one which cut to 5 carats, so I'd say between $13-$14 per Stone. They will give you a more accurate est. if you call. At that price, they pick whatever shape looks to yield the biggest quality stone cut.

Thanks for the reply! That is much less than I anticipated. My roommate and I got an appointment to go up this weekend and are very excited

@@jessicamurray2611 How cool! I know you are excited. Should be great weather for it, if no rain. Tell Blaze Hi for me. I hope to get up there weekend after next, but haven't set appointment yet. I'm addicted. My stones cut beautifully. I was told after receiving them to expect a 25% yield. So it's promoted by Blaze for one stone per 5 gallon bucket average and 25% cutters. Then of the weight sent for faceting, expect 25% of that weight to return. A little less than I expected, but they are gorgeous when cut. Go ahead and expect a few months turnaround on the cutting. Then you will be surprised if they show up sooner. Please share your adventure. Everyone I showed them to, and I mean everyone, say it was not what they expected. Their jaws drop and they say "Wow"! I will post a video of the cut stones when I find the best way to shoot them. But if you want to see a picture before you go, email me at jebrowning007@gmail.com
